[h=3]-Samsung Blu-ray players 2015-[/h]

-Samsung's new 2015 Blu-ray players are curved...http://www.flatpanelshd.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1424084270

...in 2015 the company will release three curved Blu-ray players called BD-J5900, BD-J5700 and BD-J5100. The JS5700 and J5900 will both support WiFi and the latter will also support 3D Blu-ray. There are no signs of Ultra HD Blu-ray players in Samsung’s line-up yet.

An interesting detail is the fact that the Blu-ray players come without Samsung’s Smart Hub, instead featuring "Opera TV apps". Samsung will start using the Tizen operating system in its 2015 Smart TVs, but it seems that Tizen will not be included in the new Blu-ray players.

Samsung’s new Blu-ray players will be available in March for 120, 100 and 80 USD/Euro, respectively. All 2015 models will include “J” in the model names. The same is true for the new TV line-up.

The BD-J5500E is then compared against white and should only represent another variant of J5500. For the J5500E but it costs a little more. The black Blu-ray player strikes with 99, - Euro for beech, while the white version 109, - Euro costs. For the BD-J5900 requires Samsung 129, - Euro ...

[hdtvtest.co.uk]...Samsung BD-J7500 review...http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/bdj7500-201504034036.htm

Conclusion

The Samsung BD-J7500 is an otherwise great Blu-ray player which is unfortunately tainted by undefeatable noise reduction. Most casual owners will probably enjoy the J7500β€²s blazingly fast responsiveness, and never notice the backdoor processing, but videophiles who are after pristine, unblemished image reproduction from their Blu-ray discs should give the BDJ7500 a miss.

Ιδιοκτήτες Blue Ray player της Samsung αναφέρουν πως οι συσκευές τους σταμάτησαν ξαφνικά να δουλεύουν.

Owners of Samsung Blu-ray and Home Cinema devices are reporting that their players have suddenly and mysteriously stopped working since last week. Samsung is looking into the issue.

Out of the blue

Last week, Samsung owners started reporting that Blu-ray players, for no apparent reason, started going into a reboot loop. Others are reporting that players are shutting down or have become unresponsive.

The issue appears to be widespread as evidenced by this 100-page thread on Samsung Community and elsewhere on reddit, AV forums, and social media. It appears to affect Samsung Blu-ray players and Samsung Home Cinema systems in the US and Europe, including models like BD-J5100, BD-J5500, BD-J5700, BD-J5900, HT-J4500, HT-J5500, and BD-JM57. The 'J' models were launched in 2015 before UHD Blu-ray was introduced.

Ιt is unclear what the root of the issue is. Some have speculated that it is due to a firmware update, but that is unlikely as most of these devices have been discontinued and are no longer receiving updates. It is more likely to be related to an expired security certificate.

It is a very unfortunate situation that highlights one of the pitfalls of modern disc players. Even if you own movies on discs, the player may stop working due to factors out of your control.

The company has yet to issue a formal statement on the matter but Samsung support is telling affected owners that it is looking into the issue and that it will post an update later.

- "We are aware of customers who have reported an issue with boot loops on some Blu-Ray players and we are looking into this further. We will post an update here on this thread when we have more information," said Samsung support.
