Pentonic 1000 in 2023 Philips OLED tvs :

Philips said that its 2023 OLED tvs will use Pentonic 1000, which is the most powerful Pentonic chip for 4K tvs with four HDMI 2.1 ports.
It did not comment on the LCD line-up.
Philips will announce its first batch of 2023 tvs this February.

[23.1.2023]...At CES2023, a MediaTek spokesperson informed me (upon my repeated asking) that the new Pentonic 1000 chipset will only have two HDMI 2.1 ports with FRL (Fixed Rate Link) signalling capable of 4K 120Hz HDR VRR, not four as previously reported.

-Philips has confirmed this morning that it will not be doing a RGB QD OLED tv this year, as it thinks the new MLA OLEDs have made a QD OLED shift unnecessary. At least for now.

-It also seems that Philips will not be introducing a high end OLED938 later this year to replace the OLED937 (the one with the external B&W speaker enclosure that doubles as the stand).

-One other little bit of clarification on Philips tvs today:
the new "Xtra" Mini LEDs LCD will not support Dolby Vision at 4K 120Hz.
Just the new 8808 "The Ones" and new OLED tvs that will.
DV 4k 60 on the mini LEDs. Even though they will support 4K 120 without DV.

The Philips OLED+ 908 is incredible, with LG's META panel, heatsink, new Vanta Black anti-glare filter and peaks of 2200 nits at 10% (1500-1600 in cinephile modes). AMAZING!
