Sky has announced that Channel 4 is set to become the first terrestrial broadcaster to offer a high def simulcast of its main channel on the Sky HD platform.
Reckoned to launch in December, the Channel 4 HD service will apparently take in shows from a range of genres - though sadly we don't have any more specific information on actual HD titles as yet. Two things we can say, though, are that the Channel 4 HD service will be 'free' to anyone who's got a Sky HD box and viewing card, and that the addition of Channel 4 brings Sky's HD offering up to 13 channels.
