Will they share a tender embrace? Or just have a good old slanging match? We'll find out when they go mano-o-mano in May.
Bill Gates and Steve Jobs are set to forget advertising squabbles and years of apparently subtle jibing by sharing a stage at this year’s D: All Things Digital event, held by financial heavyweight The Wall Street Journal.
The two men responsible for creating and satisfying our slavish dependence on both tunes on the move and gluing ourselves for hours to our PCs, will debate the past and future of the digital world in New York on May 30th.
Best of all, there are no scripts for the high-flying honchos to fall back on. So there’s every chance things could descend into all out warfare. Or more likely an icy dιtente with an embarrassed hug for the cameras afterwards.
After a few awkward hours of hanging out, the two will go their separate ways. Gates will be bigging up the Zune and talking up the latest 360 upgrade, while Jobs is set to deliver a speech on the iPhone.
