Η ουσία είναι πως αν και τίποτα δεν είναι απολύτως ασφαλές, όσον αφορά τουλάχιστον τα smartphones η Apple προσφέρει πολύ υψηλότερη ασφάλεια σε σχέση με τον ανταγωνισμό και επιπλέον η εταιρία δεν διστάζει να βάλει πλατη και να προστατεύσει τα προσωπικά δεδομένα των πελατών της παρά το όποιο πολιτικό και οικονομικό κόστος (στην Αμερική ο κόσμος ήταν διχασμένος αν θα έπρεπε η apple να βοηθήσει το FBI να ξεκλειδώσει το iphone ή θα έπρεπε να εμμείνει στην γραμμή υπεράσπισης των προσωπικών δεδομένων των πελατών της από back doors). </p><p>Ήδη από ότι διαβάζω η apple θα προχωρήσει το θέμα παρακάτω, αφήνοντας τα κλειδιά κρυπτογράφησης στην αποκλειστική αρμοδιότητα των χρηστων όσον αφορα το icloud (δηλαδή δεν θα μπορεί να αποκρυπτογραφήσει ούτε καν τα icloud backups όπως έκανε τώρα αν είχε εισαγγελική παραγγελια) και θα βελτιώσει την ασφάλεια των IOS συσκευών σε επίπεδο hardware έτσι ώστε ούτε η ιδια να μην μπορεί να "χακάρει" την ασφάλεια των συσκευών της:</p><p></p><p>"The Financial Times report explains that Apple is developing a new backup strategy, where the keys would be tied to the local user device in some way.
