In a teenager's bedroom of the future, the interactive wallpaper will combine images of friends, favorite bands and places to create something akin to an online MySpace page in the real world. While the images on these walls come from projectors, companies such as Philips are working on thin organic light-emitting diodes that could be applied like wallpaper, said Jonathan Cluts, Microsoft's director of consumer prototyping and strategy, during a tour of the company's futuristic prototype home.

interactive placemats for a children's birthday party. Hitting or tapping parts of the placemat makes animated biplanes fly around the table. Microsoft has updated the home exhibit with new technology.
