The handset becomes the first smartphone in the world to feature a 4K resolution display.</p><p></p><p>This resolution means the 5.5-inch screen packs an insane 806 PPI pixel density. It also has a screen-to-phone ratio of 71.25%. The phone will come with 4K Ultra HD upscaling technology to take advantage of the display. Like previous handsets, 4K video recording will be supported, but the Xperia Z5 Premium will also allow you to create 8MP still images from any footage. Sony claims that the Xperia Z5 Premium will still have the same Κ½two-dayΚΌ battery found in the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Compact. The handset has a battery capacity of 3430mAh and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. We donΚΌt know whether this battery life is achieved through a new βextended standbyβ mode which turns off apps and functions when the display is not used. A quick press of the power button reinstates all functions. </p><p></p><p>The Xperia Z5 Premium design differs from the Z5 and Z5 Compact with the inclusion of a mirror effect on the back, but does also include the precision-etched XPERIA logo on the side like the other handsets in the Z5 family. The other key feature is the fingerprint sensor power button found in all of the Xperia Z5 series. </p><p></p><p>The handset sports the same camera found in the Z5, a 1/2.3-inch 23MP Exmor RS sensor with F2.0 G-Lens on the rear with a 5.1MP Exmor R sensor on the front. This means the rear camera is capable of 0.03 second hybrid autofocus using Phase detection AF (PDAF) for faster shutter speed response and Contrast detection AF for added precision.</p><p></p><p>The Xperia Z5 Premium is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 chipset (2.0GHz/1.5GHz processor and Adreno 430 graphics) and 3GB RAM. Other features include 32GB internal storage (21.7GB usable), microSD memory card support, IP65/IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, capless USB charging, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. </p><p></p><p>The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has dimensions of 154 x 76 x 7.8mm and weighs 180 grams.
