καλησπέρα!
αυτή τη στιγμή εχω το x9s για player σε συνδυασμό με μια q70t που δεν υποστηρίζει dolby vision και έναv x1600h.
αξίζει να κάνω τη μετάβαση σε z9x ή δεν θα καταλάβω κάποια σημαντική διαφορά ως μέσος χρήστης;

Το οποιο είναι φυσικά ένα απλό “upscale” (προσωπικά, όπως κάθε αντίστοιχη επεξεργασία (ειδικά από τέτοιου επιπέδου πηγές), θα την απέφευγα)

Εγώ πήγα κατευθείαν στη 15 .Το μόνο καλό είναι ότι μπορείς το SDR να τρέξεις σε DV .Όλα τα υπόλοιπα τρέχουν στο Auto σαν νερό

Με το νεο firmware εχει ενα σωρο επιλογες για το DV/HDR και οι εξηγήσεις που έχει ειναι ασαφείς.
Υπάρχει κάποιος οδηγός για το ποια είναι η σωστή επιλογή (πχ για TVs που υποστηρίζουν DV) και ανάλογα με το αρχείο που παίζεις (HDR, non-HDR, DV);

Ή μήπως είναι καλύτερα να επιλέγεις το Auto σε κάθε περίπτωση;

Αν η τηλεόραση σου υποστηρίζει όλα τα format καλό είναι να το έχεις στο Auto, έτσι κάθε πηγή θα παίζει όπως είναι χωρίς επεξεργασία...

Το Custom Edit το έχετε on σε BT2020 lldv? Έχω μια philips που υποστηρίζει όλα τα βίντεο φόρματ...

Αναμενεται στα κοντα μεγαλο 'μπαμ'...

Βασικα θα εχουμε την αναπαραγωγη native Dolby Vision με the RPU (Reference Processing Unit - which handles dynamic tone mapping) για MKV rips καθως επισης και για UHD BD ISO αλλα και για BDMV DV.

Αγνο και καθαρο profile7 δεν θα ειναι (..και ΔΕΝ μπορει να ειναι γιατι το SoC δεν εχει διπλο HEVC decoder) αλλα θα ειμαστα ΠΑΡΑ ΠΟΛΥ κοντα.

Περισσοτερα βεβαια πρεπει να τα δουμε οπως πάντα και στην πραξη....

After a LOT of work, the Zidoo devs have managed to get Dolby Vision FEL (Full Enhancement Layer) titles to play back in native Dolby Vision with the RPU (Reference Processing Unit - which handles dynamic tone mapping) for MKV rips using MakeMKV.

This does not mean that the video essence of the FEL is utilised since that needs an additional HEVC decoder, however since this is only the difference signal between the 12-bit Dolby Master (or Mezzanine) and the HDR10(+) grade this is no great loss in the real world (unless you believe the hype - and spoiler alert: don't believe the hype!)

So now, MEL and FEL Dolby Vision titles can be played back with the intended dynamic tone mapping.


There are still some wrinkles to iron out but the foundations have been firmly laid and I'm told a public firmware will be released this week...
