Panasonic has been quietly dropping the price of its PT-AE1000U, a 3-chip LCD 1080p front projector, over the past couple of months. Through the end of this month Panasonic will continue to offer a $1000 mail in rebate on the AE1000U; we expected to see an updated unit from Panny at the show and were not disappointed as we walked over to its booth and discovered the new PT-AE2000U.
Most of the updated projectors at the show achieved better brightness/contrast through the use of better panels and better processing, the PT-AE2000U was no different. The projector has a 1500 lumens rating thanks to improved LCD panels, and an improved 16,000:1 contrast ratio. The 2000U features a new lens and new dynamic iris motor as well as 3 HDMI inputs.

Οσο βασικος προμηθευτης της PANASONIC θα ειναι σε λαμπες και πανελς η EPSON δεν θα δουμε "σωστη" τιμη .
Η HITACHI για αυτο το λογο εγκατελειψε τον στιβο των οικιακων προβολων . Ο PJ-TX 300 ειναι ο τελευταιος .

We got the PT-AE2000 for a short preview last week and i could play around with it. About sharpness and detail: Panasonic implemented a new optical engine with new projection lenses and the projector gave a really sharp image. In addition, the machine has a sort of "adaptive sharpness" which means, that it varies sharpness in relation to resolution (MHz). In other words: Low detail areas within a frame have a different sharpness setting than high detail areas within the same frame.
Now Mr. Zilch is right, that detail is not enhanced by that method. However, as the sharpness control is "intelligent", the PT-AE2000 is avoiding ringing and double outlines, so you dont have to pay the usual "artificial looking" price.
With different movie scenes the PT-AE2000 looked really sharp and detailed, and it still maintained a natural look. Pixels are not bleeding into each other due to the Screensmooth either.
Overall I was very impressed by this first look I had. I measured contrast too, it increased compared to the PT-AE1000 as well...

Πολυ στασιμη κατηγορια τιμης στους 1080p... Για να αρχισουμε να πεφτουμε λιγο παρακαλω... γιατι ξαφνικα ξαναγινε πιο συμφερουσα η αγορα τηλεορασης... Κι αυτο εχει να συμβει εδω και πολλα χρονια!!

Άντε να πεσουν οι τιμες κοντα στο διχιλιαρο ΤΟΥΛΑΧΙΣΤΟΝ και μετα αγοραζουμε 1080p προβολέα...
Διαφορετικά, και ο Epson 700 είναι πολύ καλός και αρκεί! :antlers:
(p.s. Μην ξεχναμε και το κοστος χρήσης/αποδοσης ενος προβολεα σε σχεση με μια τηλεοραση...)
