1) Prerequisites
During the installation there has to be CF
card in the Dreambox (attention: insert or remove
into Dreambox 7025 cardreader only when Dreambox
is turned off), or an USB stick which is successfully
detected (in case of problems try an USB Hub).
If Barry Allen on USB is used then put for example
a CVS Image like OoZooN, iCVS or BoxMan
in the Flash, because these images
has the USB drivers permanently built into the kernel.
If neither CF card not USB Stick are attached then
installation takes place on the Harddisk. Because
the images then also run from there it will run
permanently and it could be necessary that you disable
Harddisk Standby in the images to allow running Barry
Allen stable from Harddisk.
2) Installation
First boot from Flash and then copy the file
enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen*.ipk
to /tmp with ftp (TCP/IP must be working already).
If you have an image in Flash that offers a Blue
Panel Manual Addon Install, then you can use this
functionality to install the ipk file.
If not, then install Barry Allen by entering the
following commands in a Telnet session:
cd /
ipkg install /tmp/enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen*.ipk
Then restart enigma2 and the Barry Allen Plugin
shoudl show up under Games / Plugins.
In the Images installed by Barry Allen you don't have
to install the Barry Allen Plugin anymore.
The Barry Allen Plugin integrates himself into then
automatically during the image extract.
And you can remove Barry Allen if you are booted
from Flash:
ipkg remove enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen
3) Usage
There is now the enigma2 Plugin of Barry Allen included
under Games / Plugins of the enigma2 menu,
which offers the full functionality of Barry Allen.
For extracting of nfi images in Barry Allen copy the
image files to /MB_Images (normally a link to
/media/hdd/MB_Images created during Barry Allen
installation)
If there are Problems with image extraction or other tasks
with the enigma2 plugin try doing it in telnet:
cd /media/ba
ba.sh extract nameoftheimage
On the next reboot this new Image should be available
in the bootmanager for choosing to boot it and then it
can be customized and used as usual.
The Bootmanager now should remember the last booted
image and hence recordings from Deepstandby should work
now.

Είναι γνωστό ότι ο Gutemine δημοσιεύει βιαστικές εκδόσεις του ΒΑ και με τις πρώτες παρενέργειες αρχίζουν οι διορθώσεις.
Ουσιαστικά ο ίδιος δεν δοκιμάζει καθόλου το BA.

Λοιπόν μετά από μια επίσκεψη στο site του IHAD (i-have-a-dreambox.com) προέκυψε το εξής.
Η πιο πρόσφατη έκδοση του BA Plugin είναι η 4.9.7 και αυτήν χρησιμοποιούμε για το κλασικό multiboot μας, δηλαδή για να περνάμε Images στο αποθηκευτικό μας μέσο (usb stick- HDD - CF).
Οι εκδόσεις 5 και επόμενες αφορούν τη συνύπαρξη με το Wally West plugin και βρίσκονται σε beta μορφή.
Να θυμίζω ότι με τη χρήση του Wally West σε συνδυασμό με το ΒΑ, το κάθε Image χρησιμοποιεί τα δικά του στοιχεία δηλαδή kernel - drivers και δεν εξαρτάται από το Image στην flash.
Με τις τελευταίες εκδόσεις, στο αποθηκευτικό μέσο (όχι όμως και σε HDD) δημιουργείται ένα fat partition (16 - 2048 MB κατ' επιλογήν) όπου εγκαθίσταται το WW και ένα ενιαίο ext3 partition όπου "κάθεται" το ΒΑ και βρίσκονται τα Images. Με τις εκδόσεις 5 και επόμενες μπορούν να δημιουργηθούν κατ' επιλογή του χρήστη μέχρι 8 partitions όπου σε καθένα από αυτά εγκαθίσταται από ένα Image.
ΟΛΑ αυτά βρίσκονται σε beta Μορφή και καλό είναι να δοκιμάζονται από χρήστες που είναι ιδιαίτερα εξοικειωμένοι τόσο με το WW-BA αλλά και με τη γερμανική γλώσσα γιατί όλα τα ζητήματα που αφορούν την εξέλιξη και ανάπτυξη τους συζητούνται στο IHAD.

έχετε δώσει πολλές φορές το link για το τελευταίο barry όπου είναι ακόμα το 4.09.7 σαν τελευταίο και δεν θα άνοιγμα thread για αυτό
αλλα δεν είμαι καλός στις μεταφράσεις οπότε το αφίσα να το ψάξει παραπάνω όποιος ενδιαφερόταν
σε μένα πάντως δουλεύει μια βδομάδα σχεδόν μιαχαρα με τα image που είχα και πριν
σημαντικό: δεν κάθεται σε experimental θέλει πιγκουίνο
αλλα δεν είμαι καλός στις μεταφράσεις οπότε το αφίσα να το ψάξει παραπάνω όποιος ενδιαφερόταν
