New Line has announced a late-October high-def release for 'Journey to the Center of the Earth,' which will come to Blu-ray in 2-D and 3-D versions.
The Brendan Frasier-starrer turned into the sleeper hit of the summer, crossing the $100 million mark thanks to a wide 3-D release in multiplexes and IMAX theaters.

Making a speedy trip to video, New Line in conjunction with Warner Home Video will debut the film on Blu-ray October 28, day-and-date with the standard DVD.
Released as a limited edition, the Blu-ray set will include both 3-D and 2-D versions, and come with four pairs of 3-D glasses. Once supplies are depleted, future Blu-ray copies will include the 2-D version only.
Supplements shared between the Blu-ray and DVD will include audio commentary with Frasier, a trio of making-of featurettes and the "Adventure at the Center of the Earth Challenge" interactive game.
Exclusive to the Blu-ray will be a Digital Copy of the film (in 2-D and standard-def only). (In keeping with New Line's current Digital Copy strategy, the disc will not be Mac compatible.)
Suggested retail price for the Blu-ray has been set at $39.95.

"Currently we have it working on a PC in 3D and after some changes on the firmware and installing some software for the PS3 we'll be playing 3D directly form the PS3.

Obviously, 3D content won't be visible on every television. Novelo elaborated, "You can use the 3D TV from Samsung (both RPTV DLP or the their newer Plasma), Mitsubishi, Kerner electronics, IZ3D Monitor and Hundai. The DLP based TVs work under shutter glasses (by blocking the left and right eye alternatively) Kerner, IZ3D and Hundai use polarization glasses."

κυκλοφόρησε στους θείους η τρισδιάστατη έκδοση και λένε πωε δουλέυει με απλά γυαλιά κοκκινο/μπλε, το έχει δοκιμάσει κανείς;;

Μόλις αφίχθη...

Λοιπόν, δοκιμασα με τα γυαλιά τα γνωστά μπλε-κόκκινο και ναι σου δίνει μια 3D χροιά αλλά χρωματικά υπάρχουν δύο μόνο χρώματα.... το μπλε και το κόκκινο... χάλια χρώματα....βασικά δεν υπάρχει χρώμα. Βέβαια είναι και κουραστικό μετά από κάποια λεπτά. Μάλλον θέλει άλλο συνδυασμό χρωμάτων στα γυαλιά. Από την άλλη, χωρίς γυαλιά τα βλέπεις θολά και διπλά.

Εννοείται ΚΑΜΙΑ ΣΧΕΣΗ με αυτό που είδαμε στους κινηματογράφους.

Απ'οτι κοίταξα λίγο στο hdbits αλλοι λένε οτι δουλεύει απλα με red/cyan...

άλλοι λένε οτι δουλεύει με red/cyan αλλα ανάποδα τα χρώματα:

That's exactly what I did earlier and therefor added RED/CYAN to the description - all the ones I have here cover the right eye with the RED side of the glasses.

Φίλε Klekor, το 3D του κινηματογράφου βασίζεται σε ένα φαινόμενο που λέγεται κυκλική πόλωση. Υπάρχουν δύο εικόνες για κάθε καρέ, η δεξιά και η αριστερή. Αυτές προβάλλονται διαδοχικά, με διαφορετικό φίλτρο να παρεμβαίνει μπροστά από τον προβολέα κάθε φορά. Τα γυαλιά φέρουν τα αντίστροφα φίλτρα, έτσι ώστε κάθε μάτι να βλέπει μόνο τη μία σειρά εικόνων. Οι δικές μας τηλεοράσεις και προβολείς δεν έχουν τέτοιο σύστημα φίλτρων, οπότε τα γυαλιά δεν είναι χρήσιμα.

Για τους οικιακούς χρήστες, η δεξιά και η αριστερή εικόνα βρίσκονται στο ίδιο καρέ, αλλά με διαφορετική απόχρωση. Φορώντας τα έγχρωμα γυαλιά, τις διαχωρίζουμε και βλέπουμε το τρισδιάστατο εφέ.

Χάλια και με πράσινα-κόκκινα γυαλιά.

Παρόλο που δημιουργεί 3D εφφέ, όλη η εικόνα γίνεται πράσινη. Χάλια. Και από την ανάποδη χάλια πάλι.

Είμαι περίεργος να δω τι χρώματα γυαλιά δίνουν στην συσκευασία.

Πιό original δεν γίνεται.

Καλύτερα από τα άλλα βέβαια, αλλά γενικώς πάλι χάλια. Μιά πρασινίζει η εικόνα μιά κοκκινίζει. Χάλια. Δεν υπάρχει 3D σπίτι ακόμα.

Σε μερικά χρόνια το ξαναβλέπουμε.

Πεταμένα λεφτά παιδιά, μην ασχοληθείτε καθόλου με το θέμα 3D.

Και ξέρετε ποιοί ήταν οι απόλυτοι κριτές ε; φυσικά τα παιδιά που μετά από μερικά δευτερόλεπα τα έβγαλαν και μου είπαν "φαίνεται βλακεία", ενώ στο σινεμά το είχαν καταευχαριστηθεί (όπως κι εγώ).

Οπότε δεν έχουμε να πούμε τίποτ' άλλο....
