It does support MP3 files put in a DVD disc. There is no limitation for the file name, all the MP3 file will be displayed on the screen. However, if the mp3 file name is too long, only part of the file name (8-10 characters) will be displayed. Folder is supported as well.

The resolution will be the one you set. For example, if you use 1080i video mode, the resolution will be in 1920 x 1080 which is 1080i.However, it also depends on which resolution your TV will support.
