Tone audio 2010 awards- dCS Paganini: Digital Supremacy

πως βγάζουν τα βραβεία:
"I came to appreciate world-class CD players about four years ago when I stepped up to the original Meridian 808 and later the Naim CD555, which was my reference digital player until the Paganini entered my realm."

"Having listened to a lot of great digital over the past few years, I have to put the Paganini at the top of my list. I’ve only listened to the Scarlatti at the dCS factory and did not have a Paganini side by side to compare, so for now, the four-box Paganini system represents the most musical experience I’ve had yet with digital, and the Naim CD555 was a tough act to follow.
While I have tried to be as com- prehensive as possible in exploring all of the possible combinations, I feel that there are still a few I’ve undoubtedly missed. Other than upgrading the stock power cords to four Python CX cords from Shunyata and giving the Paganini stack it’s own dedicated AC circuit with a Run- ning Springs Haley power condition- er, I haven’t even begun to address the possible performance gains resulting in optimizing every one of the cables involved in this highly complex digital-playback system. So I feel there is still more performance to be had here. Stay tuned to the TONEAudio website because we will have updates as we discover more about this player."

Κώστα εγώ "ανέβασα" βραβεία (έπεσαν μαζεμένα, αλλά αφενός είναι η εποχή που τα απονέμουν τα αρμόδια περιοδικά και αφετέρου "έτυχε" να τα μαζεύει η dCS), πριν λίγο καιρό είχε και τον golden ear award από το TAS.
Δεν είδα κάποια άλλη σχετική κατηγορία βραβείων, και τα δελτία τύπου αντιπροσώπων αναφέρονται σε έλευση νέων προιόντων κι αφού προκειται για πηγή το "ανέβασα" στη σχετική κατηγορία high-end πηγές.
Αν νομίζετε στο μέλλον να τα καταχωρούμε εκεί, ΟΚ από εμένα, αλλά χρειάζεται σχετική κατηγοριοποίηση βραβείων και υπάρχουν κι άλλα αξιόλογα προιόντα άλλων εταιρειών που πρέπει κι αυτά να προβληθούν π.χ. το Gamut S9 κλπ.

Όχι.
Αυτό (Berkley) εδώ και 2 χρόνια το είχαμε συμφωνήσει αλλά δεν μπόρεσαν ποτέ να βγάλουν CE και το σημαντικότερο RoHS, εδώ να δείτε τι παίζεται......προσπάθησαν οι άνθρωποι με κολλήσεις ελεύθερες μολύβδου για να εισαχθεί στην Ευρωπαική ένωση, αλλά δεν έπαιζε όπως η Αμερικάνικη έκδοση και φυσικά δεν προχώρησαν (προς τιμήν τους) σε Ευρωπαική έκδοση.....όμως μετά την έλευση του dCS Debussy το ενδιαφέρον, ατόνησε, ειδικά κι όταν ο Chris Connaker http://www.computeraudiophile.com/c...Paganini-Upsampler-and-Puccini-U-Clock-Review (computer audiophile:

που έχει to Berkley και το γνωρίζει καλύτερα, έγραψε τα παραπάνω.... .
Άρα ήρθε η κυκλοφορία του νέου Debussy αλλά και κάτι άλλο που θα κυλοφορήσει στο 2011 από σημαντικό σχεδιαστή και το BADA δεν ευδοκίμησε.
