Massdrop x AKG 2.0
Massdrop and AKG’s first co-branded product, the K7XX, sparked an incredible volume of discussions on Massdrop and enthusiast forums Head-Fi and Changstar, making it clear to us that we were onto something special. Wowed by the overwhelmingly positive response, AKG gave us a sneak peak of the yet-to-be released AKG K553 and asked if we'd be interested in offering it to our members. Our first impressions were very positive, so we worked with AKG to make this a Massdrop exclusive launch with an accompanying Massdrop exclusive price.
AKG’s latest revision to the K550 line is a complementary product to the open-back K7XX. Delivering noise isolation and bassy goodness in a closed-back design that won’t leak sound, the AKG K553 Pro Studio Headphone aims to provide a high-end listening experience at an entry-level price. Made possible by you, the K553 makes its grand debut on Massdrop.
