Κάτσε να δούμε τι τιμολογιακή πολιτική θα ακολουθήσει η AVID στο νέο της καθεστώς, και θα σου πω εγώ ποιος θα ταραχθει παραπάνω. Φαντάσου πόσα licences τρέχουν αυτή τη στιγμή στα κανάλια και τα post production houses και τι θα γίνει με όλα αυτά αν αλλάξει η τιμή ή ο τρόπος που θα αποκτάς το δικαίωμα χρήσης της εφαρμογής. Ήδη η AVID είχε τρελές απώλειες σε σχέση με το παρελθόν, από τότε που πήγε κι αυτή σε υποχρεωτική "ενοικίαση" της εφαρμογής για συγκεκριμένα χρονικά διαστήματα.
 
Ένα δεύτερο πρόβλημα που μπορεί να προκύψει, είναι στο intergration των AVID σε συστήματα MAM. Μέχρι τώρα η AVID επέτρεπε σε τρίτους Vendors να ενσωματώνουν τις σουίτες της στισ υλοποιήσεις τους, παρότι και η ίδια διαθέτει δικό της MAM σύστημα. Θα συνεχιστεί αυτή η πολιτική; Θα γίνει πιο κλειστό σύστημα; Θα επιτρέπει την ενσωμάτωσή τους μόνο σε συστήματα ΜΑΜ που θα ανήκουν σε εταιρίες που θα βρίσκονται στην ομπρέλα της STG; Αυτό για τα κανάλια θα ειναι καταστροφικό και δεν θα διστάσουν να πετάξουν έξω την AVID χωρίς δεύτερη σκέψη!
 
Και φυσικά υπάρχει πάντα ο κίνδυνος η STG να κρατήσει τις πατέντες, να τεμαχίσει την εταιρία και να την πουλήσει σε Κινέζους σε 4-5 χρόνια όπως γράφει και ενας στα σχόλια...
