dCS Puccini -digital Product of the year 2010

υπάρχει πολύ πολύ χειρότερος, που από διευθυντής περιοδικού πήρε μεταγραφή κι έγινε διευθντής Αμερικάνικης εταιρείας καλωδίων......τα οποία (και μόνο) χρησιμοποιούσε επί σειρά ετών στο περιοδικό.......


Ξεφύγαμε όμως.......

Θα ήθελα να υπενθυμίσω κάποια κομμάτια από το review του John Atkinson για το DCs Puccini...

"First, comparing the dCS with the Ayre, the sounds of the players were virtually identical on SACD. If there was a difference, it wasn't one I could use to tell which machine was playing (at least in the context of my system)" Απλά το ayre είχε γίνει review προηγούμενο έτος...

"I slightly preferred the Meridian, which I felt offered a small improvement in image palpability but a slight loss in low-frequency tautness..."

"Playing CDs, the Meridian 808i.2, with its apodizing filter, still leads the field, but as dCS uses a programmable FPGA as the base for its DSP engine, I wouldn't be surprised if they also introduce more filters for the Puccini in the future."...
 
Και μετά το additional review για το firmware 1.2 του Puccini..

"But with the Asym filter, the picture changed. While I still couldn't hear any difference in direct A/B comparisons, longer-term listening revealed that the Asym filter was close to what I remembered of the Meridian 808i Signature player's sound. Individual acoustic objects were that bit better modeled and less like theatrical flats on the soundstage, and there was a greater ease to the sound."

Καλό είναι να συμπληρώνεις όλο το κείμενο και να μην βάζεις αποσπάσματα γιατί ο κόσμος θα έχει λανθασμένη εικόνα για τις προθέσεις σου.

I suppose you could say that the music flowed more easily, or even made more sense, though I am loath to ascribe musical values to sound quality (pace Michael Lavorgna).

To τι είναι καλό για μένα το κρίνω εγώ για το εαυτό μου. Αν κάποιοι άλλοι κσταλάβουν κάτι άλλο δεν μπορώ να κάνω κάτι για αυτό.

Φυσικά, είναι καλό για σένα να συμπληρώσεις την παράγραφο που έβαλες από την στιγμή που τα λέει ο συγκεκριμένος και εσύ πιστεύεις σε αυτά που λέει.

Εγώ κρίνω πάντα με αυτό που ακούω και όχι με ότι λέει ο άλλος. Τα DCs τα θεωρώ πολύ καλά μηχανήματα αλλά στην παρούσα φάση κάποια άλλη εταιρεία, επίσης με τρία γράμματα, με έπεισε περισσότερο με την μουσικότητα της.
 
Μην συνεχίζετε με οφτόπικ...Και εσείς κουράζεστε να γράφετε
και εγώ χαλάω τη γόμμα μου!

Τρία γράμματα ... που πείθουν περισσότερο με τη μουσικότητά τους, μόνο η MSB μπορεί να είναι. Θα έχω την ευκαιρία να τα ακούσω ξανά

Μπορεί όμως και όχι.
Ενδεικτικά: BAT Rex & RexPower, EAR 890 & 912, ect. ect.

Ίσως κάποιος νεοεισερχόμενος στον χώρο να παραπλανηθεί με αυτό το "μόνο" και να ξοδεύεται γιά πολλά χρόνια μέχρι να καταλάβει πως η ιδανική μουσικότητα γιά τα δικά του αυτιά βρίσκεται και κάπου αλλού
