Μετά από ένα σαββατοκύριακο εντατικής μελέτης και προσπάθειας προσδιορισμού των αναγκών μου όσον αφορά την αγορά επίπεδης τηλεόρασης ανακάλυψα πως πολλά από τα καλούδια που καλούμαστε να πληρώσουμε ίσως τελικά να μην είναι και τόσο απαραίτητα...
Βέβαια το τι είναι απαραίτητο για τον καθένα από εμάς το κρίνουμε μόνοι μας, αλλά καλό θα ήταν να προβληματιζόμαστε και να μην παρασυρόμαστε από τα marketing κολπάκια κατασκευαστών και πωλητών!
Σας παραθέτω εδώ πληροφορίες για το πολυσυζητημένο HDMI 1.3 (από το Wikipedia)
Devices are manufactured to adhere to various versions of the specification, where each version is given a number, such as 1.0 or 1.3. Each concurrent version of the specification uses the same cables, but increases the throughput and/or capabilities of what can be transmitted over the cable. For example, previously, the maximum pixel clock rate of the interface was 165 MHz, sufficient for supporting 1080p at 60 Hz or WUXGA (1920x1200), but HDMI 1.3 increased that to 340 MHz, providing support for WQXGA (2560x1600) and beyond across a single digital link. Προσωπικά πιστεύω πως κάτι τέτοιο αφορά μελλοντικά players, αν όχι μελλοντικά φορμά (μετά τα Blueray και HDdvd). To να πληρώσω λοιπόν για μια τηλεόραση με κάτι τέτοιο με αφήνει αδιάφορο...
Πρίν όμως διαβάσω ήμουν πεπεισμένος πως μια TV με 1.3 είναι καλύτερη...
