An example of integral isodynamic system, with a pair of MG 2.7 Magneplanar
This loudspeaker requires a monophonic low power amplifier and an active filter.
This filter will manage the left and right input signals (cinch plugs), and will provide three cinch outputs:
Lastly, a bypass will allow to switch instantaneously the system either in 2.0 mode (classic stereophonic system with no low frequency planar loudspeaker, and no left or right channel filtering) or in 2.1 mode (with low frequency planar loudspeaker), with an aim to make instantaneous comparisons ‛with’ vs ‛without’ low frequency planar loudspeaker. This is a very interesting feature allowing an easy and immediate way of realising the gain brought by the isodynamic low frequency panel.
