The TV uses a VA type LCD display.
The main advantage of VA panels is the contrast - higher than in IPS or ADS panels.
Each sub-pixel consists of 4 domains, which is less advanced than 6- or 8-domain sub-pixels and has an impact on color reproduction in an angle.
The thermogram shows that direct illumination is used.
HDR
In the HDR mode on the 10% board, the maximum luminance after three minutes of measurement was only 300 nits, which is a result much below the average.
To watch movies in home theater conditions, it is absolutely worth to:
Change the settings of the "contrast mode" function (settings / image / advanced / contrast / contrast mode) from the factory setting "optimized for the image" to "off", because this setting (as well as the "normal" option) and extremely falsifies the brightness characteristics ( gamma);
black level (brightness) change from factory 50 to 57, which will improve the visibility of dark details;
change the white level (image contrast) from the default 100 to 98.
