-On closer inspection, we can notice the following division into series:


The QNA90 and QNA85 will be high-end models that could use the aforementioned miniLED backlight.
We can notice that we find the letter "N" in the name. According to some speculation, Samsung could differentiate these series from others under the trade name QLED Neo, but the use of other, recently registered trademarks such as QLED +, QLED Z or QLED Premium is not excluded.


The QA70A and QA60A will most likely be mid-range models with standard LED backlighting, which are also used in this year's QLED TV.
It is not clear why Samsung added "A" after the letter "N" (current generations bear the shorter names Q70T and Q60T). At the same time, it is strange that the generation designation after the model name does not continue with the letter "U" or "V", but starts with "A".


The remaining names then probably refer to LCD TVs without Quantum Dot technology, such as the successor to The Frame lifestyle models.

-Samsung has today officially announced the launch of its first "consumer" Micro LED TV, featuring:
a 110-inch screen size,
4K resolution,
99.99% screen-to-body ratio,
100% DCI-P3 coverage,
Micro AI processor,
Smart TV platform,
inbuilt 5.1 sound system with Object Sound Tracking Pro,
as well as MultiView feature that allows owners to watch four 55" images on screen simultaneously.

No price has been announced, but reports from Korea expect it to be in the region of 100 million won (around £70,000).

Some model numbers of Samsung's 2021 QLED TVs have been leaked on the Korean National Radio Research Agency database, including the QNA85 and the QNA90, with the character "N" likely denoting the company's trademarked "QLED Neo" with Mini LED backlighting.

Going by last year's model numbers in Korea, Europe and North America, the equivalent TVs in the USA and Europe will probably be the Samsung Q90NA and Q85NA. We'll have to wait until CES to confirm for sure.

Samsung has announced that its upcoming 2021 QLED TV lineup will be supporting HDR10+ Adaptive, an ambient light compensation technology based on dynamic metadata that works similarly to Dolby Vision IQ, with the goal of providing a more watchable HDR presentation in a bright room without deviating from creative intent.

Known 8K Neo QLED models include the flagship Samsung QN900A, and also the QN800A.
An entry-level Samsung QN700A may also be introduced in a range reveal event in February, with price and availability details for all models.

4K Neo QLEDs include the flagship Samsung QN95A, the QN90A, the QN85A and - depending on region - the QN80A.

In addition to Freesync Premium Pro, certain Samsung Neo QLED TVs (QN90A and higher models) will also support Nvidia G-SYNC VRR.

Samsung will be launching its first QD OLED TV (marketed as "QD Display") in 2022, according Korean media website ETNews.com which reports that the Visual Display Business arm of Samsung Electronics has reached an agreement to purchase QD OLED panels from Samsung Display for next year's TV models.

In exchange, Samsung Display Corporation (SDC) will continue manufacturing and supplying LCD panels to Samsung VD Business until the end of 2021.
