TheaterTek 2.6 is now available for download via the automated download capability of 2.5, of by doing a 'Check of updates' from the right-click menu.
Version 2.6 includes some minor bug fixes, an update to AutoKiller which did not prevent PC DVD's from running on disk insert, a fix for the MCE remote on Vista, and updated decoders.
The decoders are more Vista friendly and prevent the need to run TT in Admin mode on Vista to change certain audio or video properties. The decoders do not offer any additional functionality
Now a new option for video renderer called EVR. It is specific to Vista and is the Enhanced Video Renderer. It is an alternative to VMR9 and uses more advanced scaling and rendering algorithms. The FullScreen mode of TheaterTek does not support EVR at this time, so you will lose graphic fade effects and transparency, however you will need to experiement to determine if the image quality is better for your card and drivers
