It seems like Chinese Matte screen poster got the model number right at the very least (A1303). so probably Matte screen was one of the 'candidates' or may be the plastic prior to coating...

Now from what I have heard there were two new iPhone codes when Beta 3.0 was released- 2,1 and 3,1(to be precise only 3,1 as 2,1 apparently existed from 2.2.1 version). So is this version 2,1 or 3,1? All i have been able gather so far is that 3Gs is A1303 from FCC approval. If this one is 2,1, when will we see 3,1? Will 3,1 be released early next year?(if we assume 2,1 is 3Gs in which case it took about 6months from first appearance in code to the launch)

also what's with Apple keepping disk mode option under the hood?

εχουμε και λεμε ...

1) ειχαν εμφανιστει δυο νεα model numbers. στη 2.2.1 το iphone 3,1 και στην 3.0 το iphone 3,1

το 2G= iphone 1,1

το 3G= iphone 1,2

το 3 GS = iphone 2,1

το 3,1 ποιο ειναι ?

2 ) ειχαν εμφανιστει φημες που ελεγαν για παρεγγελιες καμερων 3 mp /5 mp. οι 3 mp ειναι του 3 GS . οι 5 mp ?

3 ) ειχε εμφανιστει ενα ματ καλυμμα . το 3 GS δεν ειναι ματ αλλα γυαλιστερο ( οπως το 3 G ισως λιγο λιγοτερο )

According to the fine folks over at AI, the soon-to-be-released iPhone 3,1 references the Broadcom BCM4329 wireless chip in the boot script. This is a significant upgrade over the current Broadcom BCM4325 for a number of reasons. As they pointed out, the component upgrade adds power savings and new support for 802.11n features, including the ability to find and join 5GHz networks.

καμία συνωμοσία... οι εταιρίες σχεδιάζουν χρόνια τα νέα μοντέλα πριν αυτά κυκλοφορήσουν στην αγορά κάτω απο συνθήκες μυστικότητας. όπως λοιπόν κάποιοι σχεδιάζουν το ps4, το xbox 720 έτσι σχεδιάζεται και η επόμενη έκδοση του iphone.
ακόμαι και υλικά λογικό είναι να παραγγελθούν αρκετό καιρό πρίν ώστε το εργοστάσιο να μπορέσει να εξασφαλίσει stock . δεν μου κάνει εντύπωση αν τώρα έχουν παραγγελθεί κάμερες 5mp για το iphone που θα βγεί το 2010.
