Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet Review
http://ruggedgamers.com/lenovo-thinkpad-x1-tablet-review/

In all, I found Lenovo’s X1 Tablet a versatile little hybrid computer, offering a lot of options to its target market. I really appreciated the performance on offer in such a thin and light package, along with the excellent cellular and wireless connectivity and the awesome screen – which allowed for some serious work.

In all honesty I am now less productive on my own personal computer – partly because of the much weaker screen, partly because of the weight of it.

A couple of things I took as downsides were the keyboard – which felt fragile and bendy. I’d have loved a more rigid design, maybe one using real hinges. Hopefully Lenovo will up their game on the keyboard materials. I also rather hated the modular nature of the device at first, though I got over it fast after the first 30 minutes once I got used to easily taking the module off or putting it back on.

The starting price of the device should be somewhere at around 899$. Not terribly cheap, but not bad either, though pumping the RAM and storage options along with a few modules might get you sweating fast.

In all, the X1 Tablet is an excellent product in its niche. I hope it reaches market soon – and I just might get one for myself.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet Review

The Pros

Sharp, vivid display; Strong performance; Long battery life with extended battery; MIL-STD 810G tested; Keyboard (with TrackPoint) comes standard

The Cons

Mediocre endurance (without extended battery); Extra pieces to store when using modules

Verdict

The ThinkPad X1 Tablet is a lightweight laptop replacement with strong performance and a great display, but you'll need to shell out extra for the external battery.

Bottom Line
Overall, the ThinkPad X1 is one of the best business 2-in-1s yet. Unlike the Surface Pro 4, the Lenovo comes with a keyboard. Plus, the Lenovo's display is one of the best on the market and its performance (at least with Core m7) stacks up well against the competition.

The modules are a cool idea, and adding the $150 backup battery provides a huge advantage over the X1's competitors. Swapping the modules is a bit of a pain, though -- a tablet shouldn't have this many removable parts.

The Surface Pro 4 is a slightly better deal and offers a better (optional) keyboard, but it doesn't offer an extended battery. If you want a 2-in-1 with business level security, mil-spec durability and expandability, the ThinkPad X1 tablet is for you.

Θες minimum i5 U SkyLake CPU με 8/256

Αλλα 2 σε 1 σε τέτοιο configuration πάει 1400 φεύγα άρα μήπως καλύτερα να κοιτάξεις σε λαπτοπ 13-15 ιντσων που θα βγει πιο οικονομικά.

Re: Lenovo ThinkPad X1

Ενα ακόμα φρεσκότατο review.
The ThinkPad X1 Tablet is like a Surface with a business twist
Lenovo finally delivers a decent hybrid tablet for professionals.
http://www.engadget.com/2016/05/13/lenovo-thinkpad-x1-tablet-review/

Pros

Impressively thin and light
Comes with a keyboard
Actually works well on your lap

Cons

Subpar battery life
Keyboard and trackpad aren't as refined as Microsoft's Surface Type Cover
Stylus feels slippery on the screen
Was supposed to undercut the Surface Pro on price, but doesn't

Summary

With the ThinkPad X1 Tablet, Lenovo made a solid attempt at building a Surface-like device for business users. It's not really stylish, but it's one of the few hybrid tablets/laptops that'll get work done. Unfortunately, poor battery life and a sloppy keyboard keep it from being a truly must-have device.

Wrap-up

We've seen Lenovo dabble with hybrid ThinkPad designs with its Helix series over the past few years, but the X1 Tablet is its first truly successful hybrid. No, it's not perfect: I'd love to see better battery life and an improved keyboard. But it does a decent job of bringing some of the most intriguing elements of Microsoft's Surface lineup to business users.

Verdict

In review: Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet. Test model provided by Lenovo US.

Lenovo was one of the pioneers of the convertible market long ago, but the X1 Tablet ($1,549 as reviewed) marks the company’s first foray into the Microsoft Surface-style designs with their flagship ThinkPad line of products. The goal of the device was to provide a business-friendly alternative to the Surface Pro—and in a number of ways, it succeeds. The X1 Tablet not only emphasizes usability with the comfortable, well-tuned input devices we’ve come to expect from a ThinkPad, but it also features strong performance for a passively-cooled device, maintenance and in-house service opportunities (sure to be celebrated by IT corporate departments), and a range of separately-sold modules to expand functionality and port selection. We also were impressed by the revised kickstand design, which renders lap-based use considerably more comfortable than it is with the Surface Pro.

Despite its shortcomings, the X1 Tablet is nevertheless a strong first attempt by Lenovo to provide a business-friendly alternative to the Surface Pro 4, and users (or organizations) intrigued by the concept may find it to be just what the doctor ordered.

Consumers should weigh a number of drawbacks and considerations before committing to this device, however. For starters, though it is a ThinkPad, the inclusion of a removable back and the use of PPS Injection Hybrid plastic for some of the construction materials renders the torsion resistance inferior to that of fully-magnesium, unibody devices (such as the Microsoft Surface Pro). The machine also runs hot (at least, the configuration we evaluated), which makes it uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time in the hand. While we evaluated the top-end Core m7 configuration, we question the value of this upgrade, as it is quite pricey (around $350 more than the m3), and numerous thermal performance constraints dampen its practicality when compared side-by-side with lower-powered m5 and m3 options. And finally, battery life is inferior to nearly all direct competitors, and is a bit on the short side for even larger Ultrabooks with active cooling.

Perhaps springing for a Core m3 or m5 model instead could alleviate some of these obtuse snags without any appreciable sacrifice in the realm of performance—and with the added bonus of a handy cost savings, to boot.
