Λέγεται Next Car Game (BUGBEAR).
Όποιος είχε παίξει το FLATOUT καταλαβαίνει περί τίνος πρόκειται...

jd4x.jpg

Τι καλύτερο, μετά από ένα "political corect" αγώνα στο GT6 ή στο AC, από το να σπρώξεις τον κολλητό σου πάνω σε ένα δέντρο εκτός πίστας:AFADF0:;

Να και ένα preview (δεν θα μπορούσα να τα τα πω καλύτερα...)

Ήρθε και το πρώτο update:

UPDATE 2014-02-15

While we experienced some unfortunate bumps along the way last night, we're proud to let you know that the latest update for Next Car Game is finally online! You should receive the update automatically, but in case your game is not being updated, please log out of Steam and back in to start the update process.

The highlights of the update are the brand new Figure 8 derby race event and the new classic American Sedan car, but in addition to those the update also contains other major new features like new weathers and added upgrade parts. There's also a hefty amount of other improvements and fixes. Please find the complete changelog with release notes below:

Tracks:

New Figure 8 derby race event.
All race tracks now have a reverse layout as well.
Lap and AI counts are now fully customizable for each event.
Tarmac track: start area rehauled, tarmac textures reworked, last sector redecorated.
Gravel track: textures reworked, track surface visuals updated.
New birches for both tarmac and gravel track.
General polishing and bug fixing.

Weathers:

Three new weathers: bright day, cold morning and warm sunset.
A random weather is selected to an event at startup.

Dynamic environment objects:

Tire stacks now have more weight to them for added realism.
Reduced concrete barrier friction to prevent the car from spinning.

Vehicles & upgrading:

New car: American Sedan (no high detail dashboard yet).
Steering wheels now rotate in cockpit camera.
Texture/model improvements and bug fixes.
Increased European hatchback engine power.
Reworked European hatchback handling.
New engine backfire effect.
Improved differential simulation.
New gearbox, drivetrain, suspension and brake upgrade parts.
New paint jobs for cars to choose from.
Driving model improvements.

Driving assists:

Assists now have three levels of strength: 'Off', 'Half' and 'Full', with 'Off' and 'Half' being the same as earlier 'Off' and 'On' and 'Full' offering an even more assisted driving experience.

Cameras:

New screenshot camera mode with zoom factor and yaw, pitch and roll parameters, designed for taking screenshots with free camera and hidden HUD. In the screenshot mode, it's possible to rotate the camera as well as adjust the field-of-view, and by accessing Effect Mode, you can adjust the Depth-of-Field (DOF) parameters to your liking. There's no dedicated button for taking a screenshot yet, so you need to use an external application or PrintScreen button.
Brought back spherical camera from the technology demo, it's available only in camera mode at least for now.
Implemented another chase camera further back according to the feedback.
Tweaked European hatchback chase camera.

Damage:

Fixed engine component damage calculation in HUD.
Removed red damage direction indicators from HUD based on a general request.
Fixed an issue with gameplay damage not being calculated correctly when near death.
Further balancing of gameplay damage and visual damage - a completely reworked system will be introduced in the future.

Garage:

Reworked many textures.
Added some nice decorative elements.
Tweaked interior and yard decoration.
Tweaked lighting.

Gameplay:

Derby AI: tactical reverse mode now considers engine location more efficiently.
Removed speed sensitive steering when using a steering wheel.
Implemented further balancing tweaks to AI profiles and handling.
Implemented start position randomization (for player as well).

User interface:

Binding the Logitech G27 button 7 etc. will no longer result in exiting the settings menu.
Loading screen will now show a background based on the event you're playing.
Game is now paused and input suspended while Steam overlay is active.

Input:

DirectInput gamepads should now work and are also remappable.
Improved controller settings to reduce steering lag.

Render:

Fixed a bug where VSync was not able to recover back to 60 fps when temporarily dipping to 30 fps.

Audio:

Engine damage sound effect is now linked to actual engine damage instead of car health.

Απάντηση: Re: Next Car Game (PC)

Νέο update (5) 2014-07-03 (Build updated! New car, new track, LAN support)
And here we go! The new and much-awaited build of Next Car Game is finally out there.
What does this mean in the end? Well, it all boils down to why it took so long between the updates in the first place: we upgraded the game’s engine. In its old iteration, we weren’t sure that the engine could handle all the features we want to include in the game, so, to play it safe, we took the long route and fixed the engine. In essence, we tore it apart. We cut off clumsy clusters of code, with each cut paving way for a more streamlined and more robust iteration of the engine.
It was a lot of work.
As it’s our own engine, we had a pretty good idea how long it would take, but in the end, the amount of effort it took was much more than even we ourselves had anticipated. But, it did pay off in the end. Now we can be certain that the engine can withstand all the nifty we have planned.
The bad news is that, despite the work we’ve already put in, the engine is still far from finished. It’s a rickety contraption that’s bound to buckle and crash and sway and stagger, so expect Next Car Game to give you a constant supply of trouble.

And now the good news.

Next Car Game will soon run more smoothly, thanks to the new engine. What is now purring under the hood will also power a more complex, more detailed and more all around awesome damage model, meaning that all kinds of things can break, bend and tear in your motorized steel bullet. What you now see in this build is just the beginning.
We have also added a second American muscle car to the mix! This baby is difficult to handle, but the power it commands is definitely something to be reckoned with. Again, this is just the beginning – we have many more cars lined up, but one banger at a time, folks, one banger at a time
icon_wink.gif

We have also included a very early prototype of a new track! And take note of the word “prototype” — it lacks pretty much all the nice bells and whistles, meaning that it’s our ugly duckling, but we thought it’d be cool to show you how the track looks and feels like before it’s finished. This new sand pit course should provide you with clever ways to swerve, careen and crash, but what makes the track special is that we’ve done something we have never tried before: the surface of the road has “noise” and it affects your handling! The surface noise simulates the uneven surface of the road, affecting the suspension of your car and giving the steering some sweet, sweet feedback effects. We hope you like it.

As a cherry on top…
Ladies and gentlemen, Motor City madmen and crazy girls of Crash Country…
Next Car Game now supports LAN gaming!
Yes, that’s right. After getting so much requests and wishes and messages hoping that the game would support local area network gaming, we went and did just that. After all, we’re doing this game for our fans, to whom we owe a great deal more than just a car game. We owe you all our honest friendship, our sincere love, and our utmost respect.
The LAN feature supports 12 players at a time, and while a real deal online mode is still missing, this is an important step towards that goal.

But please, do remember that Next Car Game is still ways off from being a final product. It will crash. It will stutter. It will not work the way you want it to, and it will piss you off. And if you’re LANing your heart out, expect lag, especially if your server isn’t robust and you want to keep all graphics settings to the max. But, as said, it’s a work in progress, and we’re working real hard on making it a better game, one line of code at a time.
You can be of great help and immense importance to us by giving us some solid feedback. Feel free to be direct, and no need to be nice, but be detailed in what’s bugging you. That’s the best way for us to know what’s wrong with our game, as that’s how we’ll know what we need to address next.

Thanks for your time, and for your support, good folks!
Enjoy

Update 2014-07-09

ETD.png

  • Added Sandpit1 alternative route, both normal and reverse layouts.
  • Increased steering angle and retuned controller settings. Especially gamepad and keyboard controllers should be more responsive now.
  • Retuned all cars and suspension setups so that the cars would behave more realistically - with most suspension setups the cars now have a tendency to understeer while cornering unless grip is lost, at which point the cars will exhibit oversteer. However, except for the most extreme situations the oversteer should be manageable. In many cases different suspension setups now also have a significant effect on the car handling, so be sure to test them all to find your favorite!
  • Increased tarmac and gravel friction.
  • Reworked Stability Control profiles; the Full setting has more strength now while the Half setting should only counter for most serious errors by preventing from spinning out.
  • Retuned brake balance for all brake kits to tame the tendency to spin out when braking while cornering.
  • Implement a three second no-collision cooldown period for resetting the car.
  • Increased player advantage in car-to-car collisions.
  • Increased side and back strength for a number of vehicles.
  • Increased wheel strength for 01_American (American Muscle) to prevent it detaching too easily.
  • Reduced deform strength in minor impacts.
  • Added a few aggressive AI profiles to the pack.
  • Added Look Left and Look Right camera controls support for keyboard.
  • Removed the obsolete Reverse Camera keybinding, should fix cases in which the Look Back button was not working when Reverse Camera was binded.
  • Fixed an issue in which the vehicle strip in garage was out of screen boundaries when using extreme wide resolutions.
  • Reduced vertical size of the launcher window to make it fit nicely on certain laptop screens.
  • Set V-Sync to disabled by default.
