The LG 42C2 was the world's first 42-inch OLED TV, but we've taken a first look at the Asus PG42UQ OLED gaming monitor, which is the world's first 42-inch OLED to be equipped with a heatsink.
The large custom heatsink will serve to:
a) reduce the risk of image retention & permanent burn-in;
and b) achieve higher peak brightness.
The Asus ROG Swift OLED gaming monitor is available in two screen sizes, namely the 42-inch PG42UQ (£1399) and the 48-inch PG48UQ (£1499).

LG's focus on smaller panels was already reported a few months ago. The company also demonstrated a 30-inch transparent OLED a few days ago.
LG Electronics is already selling 31.5" OLED monitors and also 27" OLED monitors, but these use JOLED's printed panels and not LG Display's WOLEDs, and they carry a very high price tag.

We visited Asus's booth at CES 2023, & took a first look at the ROG Swift PG27AQDM OLED monitor with MLA (Micro Lens Array) technology & 240Hz refresh rate.
We also covered the Asus ProArt PA32DCM which features a brighter JOLED panel, the Asus Swift Pro PG248QP which is the world's first 540Hz gaming monitor, as well as the ProArt PA279CRV.

META is the South Korean panel vendor's name for the combination of MLA and brightness boosting algorithm
"Gaming Black" seems to be LGD's lingo for matte anti-glare coating.
Pixel Layout? What is used? How is text?
Vincent Teoh : It's WRGB subpixel layout. Text is not as clear as true RGB stripe configuration such as JOLED's, but not as fuzzy as the triangular arrangement of QD-OLED.
