Το ξερω...γνωστο και μπλα,μπλα....
Ηθελα ομως να το βαλω εδω,γιατι πιστευω αξιζει τον "κοπο".

CAN...απο το αλμπουμ του 1970 CAN SOUNDRACKS,το MOTHER SKY (from Deep End)
14 λεπτα και 28 δευτερα,ενα κιθαριστικο διαμαντι και οχι μονο.

Πολλά χρόνια αργότερα, το 1992 θα ξανα ανακαλύπταμε το κομμάτι αυτό όταν το τραγούδησε η julee cruise για το soundtrack του Until the end of the world του Wenders. Τότε ο Δασκαλόπουλος το είχε χαρακτηρίσει σαν τη διασκευή της δεκαετίας. Δεν θα μπορούσα να συμφωνήσω περισσότερο...

Δυστυχώς δεν βρήκα κανένα video clip στο ΥΤ. Ειδικά το δεύτερο κλιπάκι αγγίζει τα όρια του αντιαισθητικού...

Μια ενδιαφέρουσα παραλλαγή του τίτλου του νήματος είναι η παρακάτω:
Ψάχνοντας τις προάλλες τα βινύλιά μου βρήκα ένα live των Style Council που το είχα αγοράσει μεταχειρισμένο από το "Σόλωνος και Μασσαλίας" (το γνωστό υπόγειο...τι εποχές!!!!).
Mέσα σε αυτό υπήρχε το τραγούδι "With everything to lose". Το ιδιαίτερο με αυτό είναι ότι αποτελεί "διασκευή" του τραγουδιού "Have you ever had it blue" των ίδιων των Style Council!!! Η μελωδία είναι η ίδια αλλά οι στίχοι είναι διαφορετικοί. Το οriginal είναι ένα απλό love song, το οποίο μάλιστα ακουγόταν και στην ταινία "Absolute Beginners" που ήταν μια (αποτυχημένη κατά τη γνώμη μου) Βρετανική προσπάθεια αντιγραφής του West Side Story, ενώ η διασκευή έχει πολιτικούς στίχους εναντίον της κυβέρνησης των Συντηρητικών (ο Weller τότε είχε εμπλακεί πολύ σε μια εκστρατεία υπέρ των Εργατικών).

Το 1971 οι Carpenters κυκλοφορούν μία από τις μεγαλύτερες επιτυχίες τους, το Superstar. Ποπ συγκρότημα με μια σπουδαία φωνή, την Karen Carpenter η οποία πέθανε το 1982, 42 ετών νομίζω, από anorexia nervosa.

Το 1994 κυκλοφορεί ο δίσκος "If I were a carpenter" μέσα στον οποίο πολλά ροκ συγκροτήματα της εποχήε διασκευάζουν τραγούδια των Carpenters.
Οι Sonic Youth διασκευάζουν το Superstar σεβόμενοι αρκετά την original εκτέλεση.
