Samsung's Q8 "QLED" LCD model has delayed response when dimming/increase backlight intensity in its local dimming zones, as seen in the video. This affects how it controls light during actual viewing of HDR video content.

Samsung has registered the trademarks for a television named Q900R alongside "QLED 8K", "8K", "Quantum Processor 8K" and "Neurocessor", according to trademark search engine Trademarkia.

This is potentially the new 8K QLED TV to be launched at the IFA 2018 consumer electronics trade show in Berlin. Because the model number is different from the Samsung Q9S that was unveiled at CES earlier this year, we speculate that the Samsung Q900R will still be using full-array local dimming (FALD) direct-lit LED backlighting, instead of miniLED technology.

We reached out to Samsung for comment, who responded that: "We can't comment on rumour and speculation at the moment."

We review the Samsung QE Q8DN 4K QLED TV with full-array local dimming (FALD) direct-lit LED backlighting. This model is also marketed as the QN Q8FN in North America.

The Samsung QE Q8D is available in screen sizes of 55, 65 and also 75 inches (we forgot to mention the 75-inch version in the video).

Our review sample is the 55in Samsung QE55Q8DN or QE55Q8DNA, model number QE55Q8DNATXXU which is the UK 3-pin-plug version.

We were given 4 hours hands-on time with Samsung's new Q900R (also known as the Q900) 8K QLED TV, which we used to calibrate & measure the display, as well as watched our usual array of test patterns and movie scenes.

Our test sample is the 75-inch Samsung QE75Q900R which is a production model running a firmware version of 1185.

Please note that this is not a full review, only a first-impressions test where we managed to measure HDR peak brightness and input lag among other things.

Μιας και είδα μία διαφήμιση της Samsung για τη συγκεκριμένη tv
Τα 8Κ ανάλυσης πως ακριβώς προβάλλονται βρε παιδιά ?
Από που μπορώ να δω-αγοράσω 8Κ υλικό και player?
To HDMI αφήνει σήματα 8Κ?
Ή ότι και να βάλεις στη συγκεκριμένη tv το κάνει απλά upscale σε 8Κ και μόνο αυτό υπάρχει ως επιλογή?

Yλικο 8Κ και player δεν υπαρχει προς ωρας. Απλα θα βλεπεις παντα σε upscale οτι της βαζεις. το πως θα συμπεριφερθει οταν κανει upscale απο υλικο 1080p ή και λιγοτερο, δεν γνωριζω αν θα τα καταφερνει εξισου καλα, οπως οταν θα κανει upscale υλικο 4Κ.

Επισης στην IFA διαβασα αρθρα που λενε πως, αν αλλαζες τα ταμπελακια στις Tv (4κ/ 8κ) ζητημα ηταν να καταλαβαινες ποια ηταν ποια.
Μαλλον ειναι δυσκολο να καταλαβει το ματι την διαφορα 4κ σε 8κ.

Τελος, υπαρχει και η RED 8K CAMΕRA με 25 χιλιαρικακια, αλλα δεν γνωριζω αν εχουν γυρισει καποια ταινια ή καποιο demo με αυτες.

Samsung HDR10+update

Εχω διαβασει σε καποιες σελιδες εξωτερικου οτι θα δωθει
αναβαθμηση update premium μοντελων 10bit panel Samsung 2017 -2018 σε HDR 10+ και θα ηθελα περισσοτερες πληροφοριες αν γνωριζουν οι τεχνικοι του forum . Ευχαριστω.

Peak κατανάλωσης στα 686W!; Ούτε Plasma να ήταν... :laugh:

Και το native contrast αυτου του πάνελ, θα είναι περίπου το μισό των αντίστοιχων 4K VA πάνελ...
