Last week, I flew to Sony Europe's office to test an early sample of the Sony A95L QD-OLED.
The sample we tested was the 65-inch Sony XR-65A95L, but we also saw the 55-inch BRAVIA XR-55A95L and the 77-inch XR-77A95L at the media briefing.
We tested the Sony A95L RGB QD-OLED (2nd gen panel by Samsung Display+heatsink) tv at Sony Europe's office in the UK, and measured HDR peak brightness plus input lag among other things, arriving at 12 findings:

HDR peak brightness can reach 2000 nits, but only in Vivid mode on small window sizes, for just around 10 seconds. Last year's A95K was capped at roughly 1000 nits even in Vivid mode on small window sizes, so this fulfils Sony's "200% as bright as predecessor" claim.

After calibration to D65 White point :
For HDR,peak light output on a 10% window : 1350 cd/m² (nits).
For HDR,peak light output on a 100% window-full field : 244 cd / m² (nits).
This level of brightness is made possible by the latest, 2nd-generation QD-OLED panel supplied by Samsung Display, which I confirmed on spectral measurement.
Another hardware upgrade on the Sony A95L is the new Mediatek Pentonic 1000 chipset, listed as MT5897 in the diagnostic application AIDA64.

The old [Custom] mode has been replaced by [Professional] which is the most accurate picture preset on the Sony A95L, a nod to the company's commitment to reproducing the creative intent, helped by Sony's expertise in professional markets (BVM-HX310, Venice camera, etc.)
New on the Sony A95L, picture setting adjustments are now applied globally to all inputs and even video apps, with the option of customising per input if required. This is a time-saver (particularly for calibrators) and an improvement over previous models.
Another welcome change on the A95L is the separation of [Motionflow] frame interpolation into independent settings for low frame rate (24p/25p) & high frame rate (50p/60p) content, so you can reduce motion blur for sports without causing soap opera effect for movies.
The onboard Mediatek Pentonic 1000 chipset promises 4K 120Hz Dolby Vision support, which will be added through a later firmware update from Sony.
Currently, 4K 120Hz & Dolby Vision remain mutually exclusive on the early Sony A95L sample I tested.
In [Game] mode, input lag measured 16ms at 60fps, halving to 8ms at 120fps, with negligible increase in latency when VRR's engaged, representing a slight improvement over previous Sony HDMI 2.1 TVs where VRR added at least 4ms of lag.
As per my #CES2023 scoop regarding the Pentonic 1000 chipset, only two of the four HDMI ports on the Sony A95L support the full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth of 48 Gbps, of which one is the eARC port.
The calibration methodology on the Sony A95L seems unchanged (i.e. no 3D LUT calibration). Even with merely 2-point white balance adjustments (I couldn't log onto Sony's intranet network to do CalMAN for BRAVIA Autocal), SDR colour accuracy was already very good.
Overall, the Sony A95L is a commendable blend of QD-OLED's picture quality goodness, Sony's excellent image processing & impressive sound.
Based on my testing of an early sample, I expect the A95L to be a strong contender in our annual TV shootout later this year.
