Πολύ καλό το αποτέλεσμα της κάμερας αλλά υστερεί σε οθόνη (4K ips!) και επεξεργαστή (QL 810!) οπότε δεν μπορεί να θεωρηθεί ότι είναι στα κορυφαία.

Μάλλον έχεις χάσει κάποια επεισόδια. Καταρχήν η οθόνη είναι πρακτικά 1080p σε όλες τις περιπτώσεις εκτός και δείχνει στατικές φωτογραφίες και με IPS θα είναι πάντα πιο κάτω από μια amoled σε χρώματα και αντίθεση , κατά δεύτερον ο Snapdragon 810 δεν είναι στα πιο ισχυρά τσιπ της αγοράς και σε ορισμένες περιπτώσεις όπως στο One plus 2 (με 49000 στο Antutu) είναι απλά στο επίπεδο του snapdragon 808 (για να μην πω του 805).

Ειπαμε σωστό ειναι αυτο, δεν χρειάζεσαι 4Κ μενού, waste of energy & resources.

Αντίθετως θα έλεγα οτι ειναι το μόναδικό πραγματικά 4Κ τηλέφωνο που θα κυκλοφορήσει το προσεχές διάστημα αφού μπορει να κανει capture 4K βίντεο, μπορεί να δείξει 4Κ video στην οθόνη του και επίσης μπορεί να βγάλει 4Κ βίντεο στο hdmi out (η mhl).

Ολες οι υπόλοιπες υλοποιήσεις ειναι απλα ημιτελείς...4K capture απο την κάμερα μόνο, τωρα πως θα το δεις στην νέα σου 4Κ τηλεόραση ειναι άγνωστο. (καλα η samsung εντελώς για κλωτσες, δεν εχει καν video out στα S6!)

τωρα αν αυτο εσυ σε συνδυασμό με τον 810 το λες mid-end, Ο.Κ κάθε άποψη δεκτή!!!

Τα του 810 εχει χιλιοειπωθεί και χιλιοαναλυθει άπειρες φορες
Δεν ειναι αυτο που θα άρμοζε και όφειλε να βγάλει η Qualcomm αλλα δεν παύει συνολικά να ειναι στο top 2 των high end προτάσεων απο άποψη συνολικών επιδόσεων CPU-GPU.

After we announced Xperia Z5 Premium as part of the Xperia Z5 Series unveiling at IFA, we’ve seen a raft of excitement and some speculation on the 4K display technology and how it’s used within the device

So, we’d like to take the opportunity to answer a few of the most common questions around the world’s first 4K smartphone*.

Here goes

How is (and isn’t) Xperia Z5 Premium’s 4K display used?

Xperia Z5 Premium uses its 4K display when you’re viewing either the 4K content you’ve captured using your device or third-party 4K content from streaming services all other content (including the homescreen and apps) are displayed in 1080p Full HD or lower resolution to simply optimise performance, power consumption and battery stamina so you can use the device for up to two days without charging.

There are many 4K content streaming and subscription services, but these have not yet been fully optimised for mobile. So, we integrated an automatic upscaling feature in Xperia Z5 Premium so you can enjoy all video and image content within Sony’s Movie and Album applications and popular video streaming services such as Netflix and YouTube in 4K.

Why is the 4K display only used for Sony’s Album/Movie apps and everything else (Home screen, apps, browsing etc) is rendered in Full HD 1080p?

There’s a few reasons first up, after extensive user research and testing we found that rendering entertainment content in 4K, but still being able to access and use all the other great Sony smartphone features as normal without compromising on battery life, was an absolute priority for users.

Secondly, many third-party apps are not designed or capable of running at 4K resolution (yet), but as Xperia Z5 Premium’s display hardware has a 3840x2160 resolution (4K SID standard) with 806ppi, we feel we’ve created a future-proof device for the imaginations, developers and apps of the future.

Are screen shots captured in Full HD resolution or 4K?

At present, Android Lollipop (Xperia Z5 Premium’s launch OS) doesn’t support 4K screen capture, so all screen shots are rendered in Full HD.

Doesn’t the 4K display, upscale processing and content capture affect device performance; memory and battery life anyway?

Xperia Z5 Premium has been designed from the ground up as a high-performance mobile device. We’ve looked to focus on the best performance in two key areas with Xperia Z5 Premium – firstly it brings a high capacity 3430 mAh battery that will last for up to two days and quick charge capability, which eliminates the need for regular charging. What’s more, Sony’s Battery STAMINA Mode optimizes how your battery is used by automatically limiting processes and connectivity when it’s not needed, and the added option of Ultra STAMINA Mode will keep Xperia Z5 Premium running on its core functions for a week if needed.

Secondly, Xperia Z5 Premium features a large 32GB internal memory, with the capability to take a 200GB external microSD card, which offers extra room for 4K videos and movies, and images too. Also in terms of memory, we’ve also looked to optimize Xperia Z5 Premium’s memory on display feature the data transfer between processor and device is optimized so Xperia Z5 Premium’s display memory technology remembers the display of images seen on your smartphone and caches the image or video so that you don’t need to reload the full image each time you view it – saving on battery power in the process.

Why would I need a 4K display in a smartphone what’s the benefit?

Xperia Z5 Premium features a sharp, vivid 5.5 Ultra HD display, bringing Sony’s 4K BRAVIA technologies to a smartphone for the first time. It offers a viewing experience four times the resolution of Full HD, delivering a more lifelike, richer viewing experience achieved in three core areas: a dense 806ppi resolution; vivid colour with TRILUMINOS Display for mobile, Dynamic Contrast Enhancer for contrast and X-Reality for crystal clear clarity

Why does this matter? We know from our research that brightness and colour is linked with memory in the human mind. The more vivid the memory, the brighter we remember it, and as engineers we always try to create on-screen experiences that mirror the way we experience the real world.

We also believe Xperia Z5 Premium is capable of offering the clearest, sharpest Virtual Reality platform we’re working on a few things here internally, so stay tuned for more news soon.

Έχω γράψει πουθενά ότι το κινητό είναι mid range? Έγραψα ότι δεν είναι ανάμεσα στα κορυφαία.

Αυτό το λέω για κάποιους μαϊντανούς που πετάγονται παντού για να το παίξουν έξυπνοι χωρίς να ξέρουν τι έχει ειπωθεί γιατί δεν έκαναν κόπο να το διαβάσουν.

Καλό κινητό το Z5 αλλά με το Note τα βρίσκει σκούρα. Ακόμη και στην κάμερα υπάρχει ορατή διαφορά υπερ του Samsung.

The Xperia Z5 is a phone without a home. It’s comfortably beaten by Samsung’s Galaxy S6, whether you’re talking design, ergonomics, performance, or price. Αυστηρό αλλα ακριβό δίκαιο το review και για τα 2 μοντέλα.
Μου αρέσουν τετοια review παρα αυτα που χαϊδεύουν αυτιά που κάνουν στυλ phonearena

Την ίδια αυστηρή κριτική έκανε και για το s5 περσι απόλυτα δικαιολογημένα και φετος για το m9 ενώ αντίθετα έδωσε περσι πιο υψηλό βαθμο για την z3 σειρά και το m8.

Την νύφη την πληρώνει το ίδιο ξαναζεσταμένο φαγητο ντιζάιν που κούρασε όλους και fan και μη fan.
Αλλιως θα συγκέντρωνε πιο υψηλή βαθμολογία

Αλλα δεν παύει να εχει κανει πολυ καλή δουλεια προσφέροντας συνολικά ενα πολυ υψηλό πακέτο και με τα 2 μοντέλα ιδιαίτερα με το μικρό που ειναι με διαφορά το καλυτερο και πληρέστερο android στην κατηγορία του(4.6-4.8 ίντσες)

Μειονεκτήματα σαφώς έχουν όπως όμως έχουν και οι άλλοι,ουδείς τέλειος σε τελική.

Αλλα τα πλεονεκτήματα ειναι σαφώς περισσότερα.

Είπαν να χρυσώσουν το χάπι λίγο (με "αν" και "ίσως" δεν αλλάζει κάτι επι της ουσίας), άσε που η συγκεκριμένη κατηγορία του small fashion oriented phone έχει καλυφθεί από το iphone και δεν βλέπω να υπάρχει χώρος για κινητά όπως το compact.

Μην το λες παντα υπάρχουν πολυ σεβαστή μεριδα που θελει ναυαρχίδας αλλα σε under 5 ιντσών και πολλοι δεν τους αρεσει το iPhone για πολλους λόγους.

Πάντως και τα iPhone ξαναζεσταμένο φαγητά ειναι αλλα το the verge το εξυμνεί συνέχεια,χωρια τα τεράστια αντιαισθητικα bezel και τραγική χωρητικότητα 16gb χωρις επέκταση και διαχρονικά την τραγική αυτονομια στο 4.7 μοντελο.

Απο αυτήν την άποψη βλέπουμε μια πολυ αυστηρή αλλα δίκαια κριτική για τα Sony αλλα τα μειονεκτήματα των iPhone τα κάνουν γαργάρα σε πολυ άνετο βαθμο.

Και το G4 και s6 σειρά φετος ξεχώρισαν διοτι οι προκάτοχοι τους ήταν μάπα και πολυ κατώτερα των περιστάσεων.
Έπρεπε πολλά περισσότερα να βελτιώσουν οι Κορεατες και αυτο έκαναν για αυτο και συνολικά ειναι πιο πλήρες προτάσεις φετος.

Αλλα εδω που τα λέμε το s5/G3 έπρεπε να ήταν οτι τα φετινά s6/G4 που με 1 χρόνο καθυστέρηση βγήκαν.

Και αυτο μην το ξεχνάμαι.

Η Sony απλά πληρώνει το ξαναζεσταμένο φαγητό,διοτι η κάμερα που ήταν απο τα τρωτά της z3 σειρας βελτιώθηκε σημαντικά που όμως στην σούμα περνάει απαρατήρητο λογο ντιζάιν που ναι μεν καλό χρυσό αλλα βαρετό πλέον.

Ο κόσμος θελει φρεσκάρισμα και μεγαλύτερη τόλμη στο σχεδιαστικό τομέας ενός κινητού κακά τα ψέμματα.

The Xperia Z5 is a huge improvement on the Xperia Z3+ with a new fingerprint sensor and a sexy design, but there are still a few little issues stopping it from getting that perfect score.

Let's get this straight – Sony's Xperia Z5 is a world away from the Xperia Z3+. Now this phone is here, there's no reason for anyone to pick up the Xperia Z3+. The overheating issues were inexcusable and enough has changed on the Xperia Z5 that it's what you'll want in your pocket if you're a big Sony fan.

And the Xperia Z5 is one of the best Android phones you can buy right now. Sony has seen the lukewarm reaction to the HTC One M9, Xperia Z3+ and LG G4, and this time it has gone all out to beat the Galaxy S6.

We liked

I love the new design. It's a great improvement on the clear glass back and sharp edges of the Xperia Z2. The Z5 is lighter, it's thinner, and the frosted glass back is nothing short of gorgeous. I think it's up in the realms of the Galaxy S6 and iPhone 6S for design.

The new fingerprint sensor is overdue but this is one of the best ways I've ever seen it included in a smartphone.

It feels natural to have it within the button on the side of the phone and it works like a dream. Looking back at how awful the fingerprint sensor was on the Galaxy S5 with a poor sliding action needed, it's good Sony's nailed this first time.

The camera is a curious one. It might not impress the average user every time, as some images can seem a little lifeless, but the technical ability (the zoom modes, the ability to tweak so many settings and the raw images you get) will impress the pixel perfectionists - you'll just need to be prepared to dig a little.

And the battery may not be incredible but it's a step in the right direction and much better than on the Xperia Z3+. If you're not such a heavy user, it may even prove better for you.

We disliked

It still gets too hot – the Xperia Z3+ was unbearable and though this is much better it's still not good enough. Playing a game for an hour shouldn't make the phone unholdable, and Sony needs to rethink the processor for the Xperia Z6.

I really would have liked to have seen a major spec upgrade here. Under the hood it looks remarkably similar to the Xperia Z3+ and it would have been nice to get something that looks a little more impressive on paper.

Throwing in a 2K screen to show Samsung and LG how to do it would have really impressed and demonstrated exactly why Sony should be in this market - if it made it an improvement on 1080p, that is, and not just a spec bump for the sake of it.

The Xperia Z5 Premium hype seems to have done that to some degree, but 4K is still an issue when you realise the battery life isn't perfected, and you will need to shell out quite a bit of extra money to get it.

The Xperia UI isn't good enough either – it really undersells what Sony can achieve in the hardware department and forms an unnecessary barrier between the user and stock Android. It's not the be-all and end-all, but it's certainly disappointing.

Verdict

If you're going to buy a Sony phone, make it this one. The Xperia Z5 is the best phone Sony has ever produced and it's up there as one of the best Android phones on the market right now.

After the abomination that was the Xperia Z3+, it would have been easy for the company to slip out of the market it was already struggling in. It might have just given up and walked out to sea if it had a similar experience here.

It's still expensive, and that's an issue. I can't help but feel if Sony dropped the price a further £50 on both this and the Xperia Z5 Compact, we'd see much better sales for their line of phones.

In the end, the Z5 isn't as perfect as it should be, but it does have all the right parts.
