The iPhone dev team has achieved 1.1.3 jailbreak on both the iPhone AND the iPod Touch. The jailbreak solution has NOT been released to the public, and according to them will not be until February when the SDK releases, that way Apple doesn't get to see the method, and break it before the SDK releases - jailbreak + SDK = awesome app functionality, for that free price we've all come to love for iPhone applications (but always remember - if you like an app, DONATE TO THE DEV!!!!!).

Once the jailbreak is made public, make sure you toss some fundage over to the dev team for their work. (Their site is down right now or I'd link - will add link when its back up). Rock n' roll, folks, the cat and mouse game continues.

what news:
3 observations:

1. this deletes all your 3rd party apps and JUST installs Installer.
2. EDGE setting wont stick at all, meaning i can type in optus.wap and it'll crash the settings.app
3. HyperCard still works!

Δηλαδη αν εχουμε unlock 1.1.1 μπορούμε να πάμε σε 1.1.3 και να λειτουργεί και το τηλέφωνο?

Αν το δοκιμάσει κανείς ας μας πει εντυπώσεις - πχ δουλεύει η κάρτα sim (οχι turbosim κλπ), χάνονται οι εφαρμογές που είναι εγκατεστημένες;

Q: Does the *sim still work after the jailbreak?
A: YES, It will work regardless of your bootloader (3.9/4.6)

Q: Is it normal that the install freezes half way in installer?
A: YES, it is not freezing it is a very big install and takes awhile.

Q: Why is the 1.1.3 soft upgrade not showing up in installer?
A: Refresh your sources and go to recently added.

Q: Can i go back to "FACTORY SETTINGS" Afterwards?
A: YES

Q: Does this jailbreak include a baseband upgrade?
A: NO

Q: Does this jailbreak delete all my data?
A: Your Music, contacts, call log, sms, notes, wallpaper, and so on will remain. This jailbreak does get rid of all of your 3rd party apps.

ACTUAL EXPERIENCE: It went great i have a 1.1.2 otb usa iphone and everything came out great. Just follow and read the steps carefully and make sure you be very patient and give it atleast 20 min.

όταν σε παίρνουν τηλέφωνο, ακούς κανονικά τον ήχο; οι πληροφορίες μου λένε ότι δεν ακούγεται, παρά το ότι ακούγεται το κλικ στην οθόνη ή ο ήχος μηνύματος ...

Λοιπον ακολουθησα τον παραπανω οδηγο ΟΛΑ ΔΟΥΛΕΥΟΥΝ ΟΚ ΕΚΤΟΣ ΤΟ ΟΤΙ ΔΕΝ ΑΚΟΥΓΕΤΑΙ Ο ΗΧΟΣ ΚΛΗΣΗΣ!!!
Ειμαι στην 1.1.3. και modem 04.01.13_G
Πριν το update ειχα την 1.1.1 (jailbreak) και modem 04.01.13_G

Εαν φτιαξετε ομως ενα ringtone στο garageband, insert στο itunes,και απο εκει στο τηλ τοτε ολα οκ!!!!!

τι ακριβώς είναι το garageband; πού το βρίσκουμε;
