Need 50" or bigger TV.... HELP

Guys I’m be twin 2 TVs
The Samsung LE52M86BD and the Pioneer PDP-508XA....I can get both for the same price....I don’t care if the TV is Plasma or LCD and I know that the Pioneer isn’t Full HD and doesn’t have a Digital tuner. I’m going to use the TV mostly for DVD movies and watching NOVA and maybe playstation games for lets say 6 hours a week TOPs. So what do u guys think? Witch one will satisfy me more in the long run? I’m not planning to change the TV for 3 years or so.

Well, the pioneer is considered to be the best tv ever. I think also that it is full hd and not just "ready". However, there is an issue here with the playstation that could potentially cause the famous "burn in" effect to your plasma panel. On the other hand, the "M" series of Samsung is not the top of the line like the "F" series. Concluding its hard not to recommend the Pioneer.

Well i have seen both and the best picture gose to the Pioneer but im sure that the PDP-5080XA is Just HD ready and it dosent have a Digital tuner but at the same pice is it so much better than the Sumsung that i should forget the 2" difference the Digital tuner and the Full HD options and go for the Pioneer?

I personaly recomend to you to buy the Pioneer.

You will have the best picture quality ever, at least for one year from now.

But, if you worry about the "burn in" issue, then look for a LCD tv at the same cost and size. :antlers:

Personaly, i think that the newer plasmas like Pioneer, have the latest 10th generation panels, so the posibility for the ''burn in'' to happen, is very rare! :2thumb22sup:

Hmmm I was at the store today and they had the PDP-LX508D the PDP-508XD and the PD-5080XD next to each other...I was watching them for about 10 min from 4 meter distance and I was switching from analog channels to normal DVDs to Blue-Ray...is it just me or do all of them look almost exactly the same to the naked eye?

I don't know anything about that , but i find very satisfying the fact that even when we avoid the international sites just for the use of the English language,somehow it keeps finding us! it's OK, this Greek Forum has become Global, thanks a lot :fahne90::afro:

οκ, τώρα που ξέρω ότι δεν βοηθάω φίλους γείτονες από χώρες αχώνευτες, i can tell you that there is no problem with the english , only with the greeklish...they ruin our whole civilazitation and i think that everyone that uses them is bloody...no, let's just say that he petaei aeto!
