Panasonic TX-55GZ2000 : Η καλύτερη OLED της αγοράς

With its GZ2000 TV, Panasonic shows that it is possible to push the limits of Oled tiles manufactured by LG Display. The Japanese manufacturer manages to stand out from the competition by offering a higher peak of brightness that sublimates HDR content. To top it off, the audio system - if it does not replace a sound bar - competes with the market's big names like Sony's Acoustic Surface, and is clearly one of the best integrated audio systems on a TV. The Panasonic TV TX-55GZ2000 is positioned as one of the best TVs on the market and finally stands out from the competition sometimes too smooth. At 3.500 , the Panasonic 55GZ2000 is still sold three times more expensive than the Panasonic TX-55FZ800. This is the price to enjoy the best HDR and audio rendering on an Oled TV

Strong points:

Peak brightness in HDR (952 cd/m² @ 10% window in mode Real Cinema).
Perfect picture (color, gamma temperature).
Colors faithful in HDR.
Contrast infinite.
High performance Pro Intelligent HCX processor (enhanced motion compensation system).
Wide viewing angles.
A convincing audio system

Weak points:

Basic remote control, without microphone.
High consumption.
My Screen Home operating system limited

The Panasonic GZ2000 uses a latest generation Oled panel from LG Display

As in SDR, this TV is perfectly calibrated in HDR. We measured an average Delta E of only 2.3 in true cinema mode. The colors displayed are therefore considered as faithful to those sent by the source. Only two shades see their Delta E exceed 4

With an average measured at 2.44, the gamma is very close to the reference value of 2.4 and the curve is stable over the entire spectrum. There is a slight setback on the very light gray at 95%, but it is not really visible in the picture

The temperature curve is perfectly stable over the entire spectrum and the average measured at 6,820 K is close to the 6,500 K reference. Again, it's a no-fault for Panasonic that offers an excellent factory calibration

Panasonic has taken the wraps off a 55-inch prototype display using dual LCD layer (also known as light modulating cell layer or LMCL) technology at a briefing event at IFA 2019.

Key specs are pixel-level dimming, 1 million to 1 contrast, 99% DCI-P3 coverage, 1000 nits full-field brightness indefinitely, and Panasonic's in-house tech to allow for wider viewing angle without parallax effect.

The prototype has been given a codename of "MegaCon" which stands for "Mega Contrast".

Panasonic hasn't announced the price... £50,000 was only our guesstimate.

...The MEGACON Panasonic has a diagonal of 55 "but it will still be oriented to the professional sector, with a price that will be some tens of thousands of Euros. We will be more precise in a few days, when the 2019 edition of IBC will open in Amsterdam....

-Panasonic took the opportunity at the IFA 2019 trade event in Berlin to showcase its latest transparent OLED TV prototype which is now equipped with an additional LCD shutter layer to produce decent black levels expected of a television.

Panasonic promises with the new OLED models GZW2004 / GZ2000 an exclusive panel tuning, with an improvement of the surface brightness in the center of attention. However, Christian Trozinski of HDTV Magazine was able to reconstruct the possibly most important and greatest progress in the panel control in the GZW2004 test. Panasonic is the first OLED TV manufacturer to succeed in drastically reducing afterglow effects with its exclusive panel tuning. A technological masterpiece!

...When placing a hand on the panel, GZ2000 feels cooler than other OLED TVs that we have tested, which is a result of Panasonic's modification of that panel that involves using a metal back plate to transport heat away from the panel....

Calibration settings:Note: We include calibration settings only for SDR, not HDR. For our calibration we have deactivated the ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the backlight setting according to your environment. You may prefer to have it enabled.

55"...[avforums.com]...Panasonic TX55GZ2000B review...https://www.avforums.com/reviews/panasonic-gz2000-4k-oled-review.15753

In this video, we carry out an in-depth scientific review of the Panasonic GZ2000 4K OLED TV and compare it to the LG C9, Philips OLED854, Panasonic GZ950 and a Sony BVM-X300 professional mastering monitor.

The Panasonic TX-55GZ2000B is the latest flagship Professional Edition 4K OLED TV from the manufacturer and boasts its new bespoke custom pro OLED panel. This has been customised by Panasonic's engineers. The 55GZ2000B includes the company's most advanced processor – the HCX Pro Intelligent. The image has also been optimised by a leading Hollywood colourist, resulting in a TV that delivers a highly accurate image that conforms to the industry standards. This takes away the cyan tint that is seen on all other WRGB panels and adds more accuracy to whites and colours.

The GZ2000 supports both dynamic metadata HDR formats: HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. It also supports Hybrid Log-Gamma and HLG Photo.

In another first, the Panasonic GZ2000 is the world’s first TV with built-in upward-firing speakers that are capable of delivering Dolby Atmos immersive audio with minimal setup and convenience. The complete audio system has also been tuned by Technics engineers.

The review sample was provided by Panasonic UK and is a finished retail production sample which was delivered in retail packaging.

We will always be transparent about who supplies a TV for review and the supplier (whether it is the manufacturer, distributor or retailer) never has any influence or input into our reviews. We will never accept payment to review a product as we insist on complete independence in our reviewing.
If a review is made possible by a retailer loaning it to us, we will state this within the review. We do this so that if a viewer is so inclined, they can use that retailer in return for helping to make our reviews possible.
We will NEVER mention a retailer in a video where they have not supplied the product for review, or otherwise, intentionally mislead the viewer in any way.
