"Dear Mr. (εγω ειμαι αυτος)
please excuse the late reply.
In the Internet I found the following specifications:
- Sony VPL VW50 (Pearl): 3 x 0,61" SXRD Panel, HDTV 1920 x 1080, projection ratio range 1.61-2.76:1;
- Benq PE8720, 1 x 0,8" HD2+ DLP Chip, HDTV 1280 x 720, projection ratio range 1.81-2.43:1;
The projection ratio is defined as "projection distance" divided by "width of projected image".
With a fixed projection distance of 6,4 m these projectors produce larger images than you need.
ISCO only provides two conversion attachments: Tele Conversion Lens 1.25x & Wide Conversion Lens 0.8x (Specs_WCL_0p8x_08212006.pdf).
The use of our ISCO Tele Conversion Attachment 1.25x (TCL, stock no. 370.00, ISCO_PL_Wide_Tele_Att_US_05_2006.pdf, Specs_TCL_1p25x_08212006.pdf) increases the projection ratio by the factor of 1.25 resulting in a reduction of the projected image size e. g..
Keeping your projection distance konstant to 6,4 m and using the ISCO TCL the projected image width ranges are:
Sony VPL VW50: new projection ratio range: 2.01 - 3.45 : 1, new projected image width range: 3.18 m - 1.86 m.
Benq PE8720: new projection ratio range 2.26 - 3.04 : 1, new projected image width range: 2.83 m - 2.11 m.
The projected image height results from the panel formats of the projectors.
All calculations are without engagement.
To avoid vignetting our ISCO Tele Conversion Lens has to be positioned as close as possible in front of the prime lens. Please note that the rear diameter of the optical lens is 49.6 mm.
Projector-specific adapters are available.
Therefore we have to know the exact mechanical outer front diameter of the prime lens (D1) on which the adapter is mounted. Please take account of the thickness (D2-D1) as well as of the width / depth (L2, L1) of the adapters with regard to the cabinet of the projector.
Attached you find a drawing of D1, D2 etc. beside a list of adapters which were applied until now (ISCO_PL_Wide_Tele_Att_US_05_2006.pdf).
If the desired mechanical outer front diameter of the prime lens (D1) is not listed of course we will be able to produce this adapter.
For projectors with a lens shift, an optional adjustable new ISCO Mini Stand can be supplied (stock no. 749.49.00, ISCO_Mini_Stand_740_49_01.jpg). By using this new ISCO Mini Stand, the Tele Conversion Lens can be adjusted (according to the lens shift of the prime lens) to the appropriate height and optical axis so that a nearly distortion-free projection is achieved.
The new ISCO Mini Stand is just mounted in front of the projector lens standing uprightly as well as upside down at the ceiling (the simpler old mini stand can only be placed uprightly in front of the prime lens).
For end customers the current prices are as follows:
Tele Conversion Lens 1,25x (order no. 370.00): 800,-- without VAT
New ISCO Mini Stand (order no. 749.49): 150,-- without VAT
Adapter ring: 50 without VAT.
All indicated prices are to be understood ex works Goettingen and without value added tax.
Unfortunately end customers do not get sales discount."
