Re: Western Digital TV HD2
Hello, Hello.
Nice to be a member here. Writing my first post in a solaris workstation from work so no greek characters.
Just for your information, with a Belkin F5D8055 v2 wireless network works fine. Enjoyed an 720p matroska file with DTS audio, cant remember the exact bitrate though. With 1080p constant stops but i guess its the G protocol to blame. Only 24Mbps at best.
That is why WD recommends using an "N" class router when streaming wirelessly to the WD TV Live HD Media Player. Playback of video will be unstable when using a "G" class router.
I'd rather buy a Linksys WUSB600N if i were you, together with a linksys N class router.
To sum up, the machine rocks. Plays smoothly all HD content (demanding files) that i have tried till now. Local drives are deactivated as soon as i press the power button and configuration works as expected. Pretty good deal i might say for just 100euro.
