35mm Film: Do You Prefer Developing at Home or Using a Lab?

I have been getting more interested in shooting 35mm film and was wondering how other photographers here handle film after finishing a roll.
Do you prefer developing your own film at home, or do you usually send it to a professional lab?
For those who use a lab, what matters most to you?
  • Consistent development
  • Film scanning quality
  • Color accuracy
  • Turnaround time
  • Price
  • Handling of negatives
I am especially interested in hearing from people who shoot both color and black-and-white film. Do you notice a meaningful difference between home processing and professional lab processing?
I would also be interested in hearing which film stocks you find easiest or most difficult to process.
For reference, I work with film photography and am always interested in learning how other photographers approach the process from exposed roll to final scan or print.

What is your preferred workflow?
