New Features

The following section provides information on new features introduced in this release of Catalyst™.
OpenGL CrossFire™ Support Under Windows Vista

Catalyst™ 7.3 introduces OpenGL CrossFire™ support for the entire ATI Radeon™ X1000 product series under Microsoft Vista. Users will see significant performance gains in a number of applications when running in CrossFire™ mode under Windows Vista.
CrossFire™ Enhancements for Windows Vista

Catalyst™ 7.3 includes CrossFire™ enhancements for Windows Vista that enable the Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR) CrossFire™ rendering mode by default, enabling performance benefits for all AFR compatible applications immediately (including newly released applications that have not been officially profiled for CrossFire™). Future Catalyst™ releases will add further CrossFire™ performance gains once new applications have been profiled specifically for CrossFire™.

Επιτέλους στο powerdvd είναι τσεκαρισμένο το hardware acceleration και σε υλικό H264 avc. Όχι οτι είδα διαφορά βέβαια γιατί πρέπει να δούλευε και πρίν, απλώς δεν ήταν τσεκαρισμένο όταν έπαιζε η ταινία και μου την έσπαγε.

Αρα που βρισεται η ουσιαστικη διαφορα με τους 7.3 ?
 
Για τα βιστα προς το παρον δεν με απασχολει. Τωρα το "ενα καρο" για τα xp δεν το καταλαβα.

Απο τα σχολια των παιδιων παρα πανω καταλαβα οτι διορθωθηκε κατι που τους ταλαιπωρουσε.

Αν δεν το γνωριζεις Δημητρη, ας με ενημερωσουν τα παιδια , μηπως ειναι κατι που με ενδιαφερει !

Το λίνκ από εμένα δουλεύει, μάλλον είναι κάποιο security feature του site της Ati.

Μπορείς να το δεις από εδώ αν πας στο Release Notes.

Είναι αρκετά τα bugfixes, και πολύ πιθανό να επηρεάζουν κάποιους από εμάς. Εγώ π.χ. βρήκα 1-2 που τα είχα συναντήσει..
 
Αν δεν σου κανει κοπο μπορεις να μας βοηθησεις αναφεροντας τα ?
 
Στην περίπτωσή μου είχα δει τα παρακάτω:

# Uninstalling the graphics drivers no longer results in some of the files and folders failing to be removed in the Program File folder. Further details can be found in topic number 737-23715
# Hot-plugging an HDMI TV to the DVI port of graphics adapter via HDMI to DVI cable no longer results in the DVI-to-HDMI detection message appearing but then disappearing within 30 seconds or when making a slight mouse movement. This issue may also be experienced under the Windows Vista operating system. Further details can be found in topic number 737-25809
# The Catalyst™ Control Center no longer intermittently disappears when running in the background of the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system. Further details can be found in topic number 737-26661
# Installing a newer version of the Catalyst™ Control Center over an older version no longer results in the newer version failing to install. Further details can be found in topic number 737-26666

..τα περισσότερα βέβαια είχαν φτιάξει μετά από format, but still..

Εννοείτε ότι έχω και εγώ (όπως όλοι) το γνωστό θέμα με το missing tick στο κουτάκι του Hardware Acceleration στο PowerDVD.
 
Tα δικά μου σχόλια αφορούσαν τα Vista. Καινούριοι vga drivers και TheaterTek 2.5 ήταν τα 2 requirements μου για να πάω σε VISTA (τα οποία τώρα είναι εγκατεστημένα και περιμένουν)...

Μαλιστα. Το πιασα το "νοημα".

Οσον αφορα το τελευταιο, οπως ειπε κι ο Κυριακος, τικ, ξετικ, δουλευε.

Anyway.

Kαλο ειναι να ειμαστε λιγο παραπανω απο επιφυλακτικοι με τις νεες εκδοσεις. Οι προηγουμενες εμπειριες, πιστευω ολων μας, μας εχουν διδάξει οτι μαζι με fix, ερχονται αρκετες φορες και νεα μπαγκ .

Καλες δοκιμες και περιμενουμε ενημερωση.
