Valerie Perrine (1943–2026)
Today, the world feels a little less bright as we honor the incredible Valerie Perrine, who passed away today at the age of 82.
To the world, she was an Oscar-nominated talent, but to the fans of Metropolis, she will forever be our beloved Eve Teschmacher from Superman: The Movie. Valerie brought such an endearing quality to the role—a perfect blend of wit, glamour, and a hidden heart of gold. Whether she was subtly rolling her eyes at Lex Luthor’s schemes or ultimately choosing to do the right thing, she was the heartbeat of every scene she was in.
She was a true icon of the legacy we cherish so deeply. We find comfort in the thought that she is at peace now, and we truly hope she finally meets a "goog guy" in a red cape on the other side.
