We do think Crysis 3 is the best looking game out there right now, with the highest visual quality experience. However, we still have this nagging feeling that it isn't enough of a leap in graphics or gameplay compared to what the first Crysis brought us at the time. Maybe we are just stuck in the past, but the original Crysis was a revolution in graphics at the time, and Crysis 3 just feels like it is a small leap frog jump graphics-wise.
It is games like this we look forward to in pushing the industry forward. Developers should be experimenting with how to do this on the PC. The PC offers a tremendously power platform for GPU performance and flexibility. We want to see developers to continue to push the PC platform forward and go all out giving us the best visual quality experience possible. Crysis 3 is in this category just like Crysis 1 (however not to the same extent), whereas Crysis 2 simply was not even close.
The resolution you play at will determine the best card for the job here. If you game above 1080p, seek out high-end SLI or CrossFire to get the most from this game. If you play at 1080p, you will get a maximized experience with a single GTX 680 or HD 7970 GHz Edition. If you can't afford those, and you must go midrange, the GTX 660 Ti offers the best value in this game for the cost right now.
