Θα ήθελα πολύ να το ακούσω, αυτό αλλά και της προηγούμενης γενιάς. Λέγονται πάρα πολλά γι' αυτά....

Βέβαια υπάρχουν και τα γνωστά στάδια αναβαθμίσεων (με Dueland κλπ.).

Να βάλω ακόμα ένα μηχάνημα από μία εταιρία που φτιάχνει ακομα και pci κάρτες για pci usb audio interfaces.

Είναι η Sotm για την οποία έχουμε ξαναγράψει στο φόρουμ.


Εδώ το ακριβό Sotm SDP 1000 PCM DSD.

Στην σελίδα του κατασκευαστή αναφέρονται οι δυνατότητες του DAC σε δειγματοληψίες PCM και DSD. Σε review του 6moons αναφέρεται η χρήση του Asahi Kashei AK4399 από σχόλια του κατασκευαστή σχετικά με το review αλλά και με προβλήματα που αφορούν την αναπαραγωγή αρχείων DSD 128 που έχει το DAC. Παρόλα αυτά πωλείται στην τιμή των 2900$.....

Λειτουργεί με μπαταρία και διατίθεται εξτρά εξωτερικό τροφοδοτικό στα 1000-1200$ ανάλογα την έκδοση.

"The sDP-1000 uses digitally actuated analog volume to avoid A/D conversion for its analog inputs and compression of dynamic range at low volumes. Our chosen converter chip is the AK4399 from the Japanese Asagi Kasei Microdevices company. This chip accepts a direct DSD input via the DoP standard over USB. The DSD signal path bypasses the chip's interpolator so there are no modifications to the DSD stream from it. It's possible that the chip's digital volume would modify the DSD signal but we cannot find any technical information about this. Never mind, with its on-chip digital volume bypassed at 0dB which is how we've fixed the sDP-1000, both DSD and PCM data paths remain perfectly pure.
"And we're still investigating the possibility of adding DSD128. The issue could be inherent limitations of the AK4399. It's presently unclear whether it'll support 2 x DSD or not. The output impedance is 47Ω on both RCA and XLR. The latter's slew rate is set by its buffer chip to 50v/μs. For the unbalanced chip that becomes 11v/μs. Obviously those specs degrade a bit with the EMI filter of the output stage and a few other parts in the circuit. The current delivery of the balanced output is 85mA. That becomes 45mA for RCA. Max voltage swing is 6Vp-p relative to a 10KΩ input impedance."

ο τύπος, από παλιατζής έγινε χάι-φάις ... έπιασε το νόημα και οι τιμές είναι αλλού για αλλού ... στο 1/4 αυτών, θα το σκεπτόμουν σοβαρά γιατί μου αρέσει που είναι τέντυ-μπόις ...

Εγώ πάντως από αυτόν δεν έπαιρνα τίποτα γενικώς.

off topic. Σπύρο, νέο άβαταρ βλέπω. Μήπως για να ταιριάξει στη μουσική που ακούς τώρα;
 
Ο πιο υπερτιμημενος και αδικαιολόγητα ακριβός ντιουης που έπιασε την καλή χωρίς κανείς να έχει καταλάβει το γιατί. Από Πολωνία πρέπει να υπάρχουν 50 άλλοι σαφώς πιο αξιόλογοι που δεν τους ξέρουμε..

Ά, και παλιοχαρακτηρας από το λίγο που τον ξέρω.
 
Στο ψυχολογικό όριο των $2,000 έρχεται το παρακάτω dac.

Εξαιρετικά απλή και λιτή σχεδίαση NOS (με το AD-1865N-K R-2R ladder DAC chip), μονής εισόδου (usb, spdif, ή i2s) κατ' επιλογή και έξοδο μόνο unbalanced σε πολύ καλά βύσματα.

Ενδιαφέρον δεν νομίζετε?

Μου φαίνεται ότι θα πρέπει να βάλω στην άκρη ένα μπάτζετ 200 μόνο για ακροάσεις - δοκιμές τέτοιων "ενδιαφερόντων" dacs... :)
 
Αυτή η Mojo... από τα upgrades που βλέπω για τα macmini ΔΕΝ μου γεμίζει το μάτι...

i2s είσοδο, TCXO ρολόι, καλά υλικά, κ.ά. Πολύ καλό στα λεφτά του!


...και αναλογικές εξόδους με διακριτά υλικά.

Δημιουργεί μεγάλες προσδοκίες. Μακάρι να μπορούσαμε να το ακούσουμε. Θα παίζει καλά ή θα είναι απλά ένα μηχανάκι με καλά υλικά και καθόλου ουσία;

Ίσως και να το ρίσκαρα.
