Χμμμ μούμπλε-μούμπλε... το πρόβλημα του σχωρεμένου του Angenieux και άλλων συγχρόνων του την εποχή που εμφανίστηκαν στην αγορά -μέσα 50s- οι S1 και S21, δεν ήταν να φτιάξουν ένα γρήγορο 50άρη έτσι γενικά και αόριστα για τις "miniature cameras" όπως ακόμη τις έλεγαν τότε -υπήρχαν ήδη πριν το πόλεμο-, αλλά να φτιάξουν ένα γρήγορο 50άρη (όχι 58άρη) για τις SLR που όλο και κέρδιζαν έδαφος στην αγορά.

Πρόβλημα παρόμοιο -κατά μία έννοια- με αυτό της κατασκευής ευρυγώνιων για τις SLR, που ουσιαστικά έλυσε το 1950 ο ίδιος κατασκευαστής με τους "Retrofocus" του.
Και παρόλα αυτά αν και ο πρώτος στο είδος του για το παραπάνω θέμα, δεν έτυχε να διαβάσω πουθενά από τότε μέχρι σήμερα ότι το επίτευγμα του αυτό (Retrofocus) ήταν μια παρθενογένεση. -κάπως offtopic αυτό.

Τώρα δεν ξέρω ποιος αλήθεια κατασκευάζει αυτά τα γυαλιά και με τι συνταγή κτλ κτλ, αλλά να βγαίνει και ο πεταπίξελ να λέει πως "The M42 thread mount has been replaced with an updated Leica M-mount coupling." είναι πολύ άτοπο (και δε έβγαινε στην εποχή του μόνο σε Μ42). Τσάμπα έβγαλε ο άλλος τα μάτια του κάποτε δλδ. Αυτό είναι κίνηση προς τα πίσω, όχι "update". Και για αυτό προφανώς και ο κατασκευαστής μας λέει ότι ο φακός αυτός μπορεί να καλύψει μέχρι 44x33mm.
