SongRAW Moonlit 85mm f/1.2 Lens Announced - Challenging the 85mm Classics​

The SongRAW Moonlit 85mm f/1.2 will initially be available in Sony E-mount and Nikon Z-mount versions, with an L-Mount version planned for later release. The price is set at $1,299, with availability expected by the end of 2025.

The new Chinese company announced the 85mm f/1.2. This is their second lens after the 50mm f/1.2 which has been announced a couple of months ago and i still not available in EU and EU stores.


  • Autofocus using STM motors
  • one aspherical element, five ED glass elements, and 11 HR glass elements
  • onstructed from aerospace-grade aluminum

Cons:​

  • Bigger and heavier than Sigma or Sony
  • Autofocus isn’t as sophisticated as alternatives
  • Specular highlights are busy
  • Some flare issues
