Lonely white
The only little light I know
Is falling like a memory on the open road
A memory of a meaning
That I never heard long enough
Leaving what I never learned
Leaving what I never learned
Holding on, cradled to the bruise—black sky
Swollen with the secrets of a living lie
Pour me out like silver in a common world
Lonely white
Healing like I never hurt
I unfolded my life to a dream
Beside that other ocean
But I'm tied to the lines that must lead me
Somewhere where I don't know why
And tonight, there's nothing that
Can reach me in the world outside
It's just another vast, aching hunger
An emptiness of another kind
And tonight, there's nothing beneath me
But the solid earth and the endless miles
Now only this
Whatever you leave me
You leave me alive
Megadeth - Puppet Parade (Megadeth, 2026, BlkIIBlk)
