Hi YannisA!

The time has come. The waiting has an end.

This weekend we will start a new age with Gemini. The age of the Gemini plugin (The Gemini Project 3).

What does it mean for you:

* You won't get full Gemini-images from us.
* You have to flash an image of your own choice (we recommend the iCVS, DMM release or experimental,...)
* You have to install the Gemini Wizard (already included in the iCVS)
* With the Gemini Wizard you can install a full- or baseversion from the Gemini plugin and it's components.

The advantages from the new Gemini plugin are clear:

* You get a plugin, that you can install in every image, which you can update every time you want.
* You can decide on your own, how comprehensive your Gemini plugin is (every Gemini app can be installed seperately)
* You can do updates online for Gemini and DMM innovations without reflash your box.


What is already available in the Gemini-plugin:

Of course every start is difficult, because the Gemini-plugin was coded all up new from the ground.

The already available functions are:

gemininfs - Gemini app to configure the NFS server
geminictorrent - Gemini torrent app
geminiweather - Gemini weatherinfo app

In this context, we will also rise the iCVS again. It's very close to the DMM-CVS and already containing the Gemini-wizard for the installation of Gemini3, and beeing regularely supplied with updates.

Θέλει να πεί ότι απο τώρα και στο εξής θα κυκλοφορεί το Gemini Plugin και θα το εκτελούμε στο Image που θα έχουμε επιλέξει, π.χ.DMM release, iCVS, ή experimental.
 
Για σιγά ρε παιδιά...
Εχω υο Gemini Project 5.10 στη flash memory και τίποτ' άλλο.
Στο GP 5.10 έφτασα με τη γνωστή διαδικασία. Δηλ. είχα GP 4.70, έκανα boot κρατώντας το On/Off πατημένο, εβγαλε την οθόνη με το Upgrade, πάτησα το link, διάλεξα το nfi file με το 5.10 και φλασάρισα μέσω δικτύου το 5.10
Εκεί βρίσκομαι.
Τι αλλάζει για μένα?

Πλέον δεν χρειάζεται να κανεις FLASH συνέχεια...βάζεις την ICVS ή την experimental(προτείνεται η πρώτη που εχει εγκατεστημένο το plugin) και τελείωσες...οτι χρειάζεσαι(απο καλούδια) τα εχει μεσα στο plugin(gemini3 wizard).
Μιας και ειχες/εχεις το Gemini,epg ποιο χρησιμοποιείς?γιατι με το crossepg δεν εβγαλα άκρη...
 
αυτο για το flash, αν ομως θελει καποιος να μπουταρει απο το CF η USB το ιδιο img η καποιο αλλο τι γινεται?
το meboot η barryallen αν και αυτο ειναι για το oozoon, η κατι παρομοιο τι γινεται???

Αυτο ειναι σωστο ερώτημα.
Μην κανουμε τιποτε και την πατησουμε με κανα time bompe.
Παντος φαινεται να ειναι πολυ ομορφο.

Κυκλοφόρησε και ένα ιματζ ονόματι SnowflakeCVSBU που έχει το gemini project3 ενσωματωμένο (δεν το δοκίμασα ακόμη βέβαια....)
 
Υπάρχει η δυνατότητα να βάλουμε σε κανένα απο αυτά τα images meoboot ή barry allen;

Εγω θα δοκιμάσω (μαλλον το σαβ/κο) αυτό που το έχει ενσωματωμένο, στην cf του 8000 με Barry Allen, δεν βλέπω γιατι να μη δουλέψει....
 
Πρώτη εντύπωση:
Το εγκατέστεισα πριν μία ώρα και λειτουργεί απροβλημάτιστα μέχρι τώρα από Compact Flash με Barryallen.

(DM8000, με experimental στη flash)

νομίζω πως οχι γιατί το dream elite εχει παλιούς drivers..
Γιατί μπερδεύεστε όμως???το ICVS ειναι σαν να εχετε ενα experimental image στην flash + το gemini plugin(gp3) και τίποτα παραπάνω,απο εκει και πέρα οτι κάνετε σε ενα experimental image το ιδιο μπορείτε να κάνετε και στο ICVS.

Κάποια experimental images όμως, όπως το oozoon, έχουν plugin το barry allen για multiboot. Το icvs έχει;
 
Εγκατέστησα το icvs image απο το i-have-a-dreambox (image 10122010) στον dm800. Μετά την εγκατάσταση του gemini3 το zapping είναι μια πραγματική οδύσσεια. Όταν αλλάζω κανάλι μπορεί να φορτώνει και 10-15 δευτερόλεπτα! Που μπορεί να οφείλεται αυτό; Δοκίμασε κάποιος άλλος;
