All New JVC 1080P Projector DLA HD1 (DLA RS1) - Preview Screening and Powerbuy
I was lucky enough to visit JVC HQ in London today for an exclusive viewing of this brand new Dila projector set to storm the market. With both horizontal and vertical lens shift (+/- 80% vertical and +/- 34% Horizontal), along with an astonishing 15000:1 contrast ratio without the need for an iris this new model can provide amazing white detail next to inky blacks without any brightness compression.
The high quality lens uses 16 elements in 13 groups to significantly reduce lens aberration and ensure perfect focus, it also has a huge throw ratio, for example, a 100" screen would mean the HD1 can be positioned from 3 to 6m away.
Update:
The date has now been set for our advance preview evening, January 17th 2007 from 4pm until 8pm with attendance by myself and Alex Kobayashi of JVC, team leader for the HD1, who will be flying in from Japan for the evening.
This will be an open format event with no tickets required and a rolling demonstration of this unit against one of its close rivals with both SD and HD material. Visitors are welcome to bring there own material on either the DVD and HD-DVD formats and we will try our upmost to satisfy any requests on the evening.
Retail price now confirmed as £4500 stock arriving first week of February
A special pre-order price has now been set and can be confirmed by email only to Elliot, this offer is available in the week commencing January 15th and will run until the 19th at 3pm, to qualify for the preorder payment must be made in full at the time of order.
