Summary

In terms of image quality, the 49-inch NanoCell of the 803 series is practically no different from its predecessor. Like him (the 2019 SM series), the LG 49NANO803NA is a TV that will work well when watching SDR content such as news, current affairs and entertainment programs during the day. It can also be recommended for football matches or less demanding games.

On the other hand, if someone is looking for a home cinema TV of a similar size, in my opinion, they should be interested in models with a diagonal of 50 inches, which, fortunately, are not lacking in LG's offer. Thanks to the VA matrix, they will offer several times darker blacks and much higher contrast, which IPS matrices are simply not able to provide.

Okay, and what screen with a similar diagonal would the author recommend for HDR content? Well, in LG's offer we will not find anything better than the OLED48CX3LB model, but for this model (much more advanced, but of similar size) you will have to save much, much longer. Well, quality costs money.

What is the difference between the 49NANO863NA and 49NANO803NA models, because black, contrast, brightness in HDR mode and color reproduction are basically the same? Well, paying extra for the 49NANO863NA we get a higher class matrix (120Hz) and, or maybe most of all, a partial functionality of HDMI 2.1, including eARC and 4K / 120Hz support. The LG 49NANO863NA looks like a TV specially tailored to the needs of players. On the other hand, home cinema lovers (read: dark blacks and high contrast) will have to look elsewhere.

ADS (Advanced Dimension Switching) panel like most other entry-level LG TVs, which is technically different from an IPS panel, but the two perform very similarly.

On this panel, the green pixels have a different shape than the blue and red pixels, and they look different than the green pixels on the LG NANO81.

The green and blue pixels also have a strange dimming effect where every second row has bright green and dim blue pixels, and the other rows have dim green and bright blue pixels.

Σύμφωνα με ρωσικά φόρουμ που μίλησαν με αντιπρόσωπο του εργοστασίου της LG πρόκειται για VA panel από τρίτο κατασκευαστή http://webos-forums.ru/post110757.html#p110757. Αν ισχύει τότε θα είναι η πρώτη φορά που η LG δίνει τη τεχνολογία nanoCell σε τρίτο κατασκευαστή.

Με αφορμή την κυκλοφορία στην Ελλάδα της LG 50NANO796NE, μπορούμε να εξακριβώσουμε τον τύπο του πάνελ από τους κωδικούς στη πλάτη της τηλεόρασης.

Από το αντίστοιχο ρωσικό μοντέλο ανέβασαν φωτογραφία από τη πλάτη της τηλεόρασης.

Ο κωδικός της τηλεόρασης είναι 50NANO796NF.BRUJLJU

Τα γράμματα JL δείχνουν ότι το πάνελ είναι S-MVA κατασκευασμένο από τη CHI MEI Optoelectronics.

Τα υπόλοιπα γράμματα δείχνουν ότι η τηλεόραση κατασκευάστηκε στη Ρωσία για την αγορά της Ρωσίας:
