SR1: Το νέο ηχείο του Nelson Pass

Παρά το γεγονός ότι το SR1 έχει αρχίσει να συζητείται από πέρισυ, η εταιρία το επέδειξε επισήμως στην εφετινή CES: Πρόκειται για ένα σχετικώς μεγάλο ηχείο δαπέδου που χρησιμοποιεί δύο καμπίνες, από τις οποίες η μία φιλοξενεί δύο γούφερ ενώ η δεύτερη εκτελεί χρέη “κεφαλής” με ένα τουίτερ και ένα μιντ. Η σχεδίαση είναι τεσσάρων δρόμων και τα μεγάφωνα είναι της Seas (οι μονάδες για τις χαμηλές και τις μεσαίες συχνότητες έχουν κώνους επικαλυμμένους με το υλικό Nextel και το τουίτερ είναι το T29CF002 “Crescendo” με μαλακό θόλο 29 χιλιοστών που ανεβαίνει μέχρι τα 25kHz). Σύμφωνα με τις λιτές δηλώσεις τις εταιρίας, η σχεδίαση του SR1 βασίστηκε στην απαίτηση να παραμένουν όλες οι μονάδες στην περιοχή λειτουργίας όπου τα διαφράγματα λειτουργούν πιστονικά, χωρίς να υπάρχουν “σπασίματα” και άλλοι ρυθμοί ταλάντωσης (μια απαίτηση τυπική μεν για τα περισσότερα ηχεία η οποία ωστόσο ικανοποιείται σπανίως). Το ηχείο είναι ενεργό και χρησιμοποιεί ξεχωριστούς ενισχυτές για κάθε δρόμο καθώς επίσης και ηλεκτρονικά φίλτρα πριν από αυτούς. Προς το παρόν η εταιρία δεν έχει δημοσιεύσει “επίσημα” χαρακτηριστικά, αλλά η τιμή του ηχείου, όπως διέρρευσε στην CES θα κινείται στην περιοχή των 25.000 δολαρίων για την αγορά των HΠΑ.
