τελικά το πρόβλημα λύθηκε εδώ και 2 μέρες...Προφανώς κάτι έγινε στους spotify servers γιατί update δεν χρειάστηκε στον Player.
 
Αν και έχω τον player σχεδόν ένα χρόνο, μόλις πρόσφατα συνειδητοποίησα το εξής:

Αν γίνει enable το network control, τότε μειώνεται δραματικά o start up χρόνος του player από περίπου 1 λεπτό και κάτι σε περίπου 8'' !! (αφού δεν ξαναπαίρνει IP από το δίκτυο)

Ειδικά αν την τελευταία φορά που εχει κλείσει ο player επαιζε internet radio, πατώντας το on, σε 8'' παίζει ραδιόφωνο!
