Chat-nav!
Nokia’s bringing satnav to the nation’s pockets, starting with its super swanky 6110 Navigator.
Weave your way through side streets worry free thanks to Nokia's super-smart satnav phone... [more images]Fitting satnav into a phone is no mean feat. Making it attractive is even harder. If we didn’t have faith in Nokia’s design gurus, we’d suspect witchcraft at work here.
The first of many GPS-toting superphones from Nokia, the 6110’s simply a joy to hold. Those Finnish phone-masters have squeezed in local mapping, points of interest and even 3D views, all available at the push of a single button, and that’s on top of all the usual mobile phone gubbins.
There’s a 2-meg snapper for instance, and HSDPA data transfer for speedy downloads and web access on the move.
Add that to support for 2-gig memory cards and you’ve got a navigation, entertainment and communication centre all in a package small enough to smuggle through customs.
We fell in love after a brief fiddle with the map-obsessed mobile this morning, but stay tuned for a full blow video close up in the next few days.
