We attended an invite-only unveil of Panasonic's new 2019 flagship GZ2000 OLED TV. The company has finally adopted Dolby Vision, making the GZ2000 the world's first television to support both the Dolby Vision & HDR10+ dynamic metadata formats on top of HDR10 and HLG.

The Panasonic GZ2000 is also the world's first TV with built-in upfiring Dolby Atmos speakers, not to mention HLG Photo support.

Two screen sizes are available, namely the 55-inch TX-55GZ2002B (TX-55GZ2000) and 65-inch TX-65GZ2002B (TX-65GZ2000)

Hands on: Panasonic GZ2000 4K OLED (2019) review

...While not quite as striking, the apparent improvements to the picture are almost as impressive. Panasonic says the peak brightness here is the same as the previous generation, but promises that you will benefit from a wider range of colours for a more dynamic picture thanks to the new HCX PRO Intelligent processor and the wider HDR support.

With the GZ2000, Panasonic also says it “has extended the range and reduced the interval between calibration steps at the darkest end of the RGB and gamma scales”. This is said to be in response to demands from Hollywood pros.

Fast motion seems smoother, with the halo effect apparent on previous generations noticeably reduced without succumbing to the dreaded motion smoothing effect. Colours do appear bolder and punchier, but the trademark deep blacks remain every bit as solid while still offering up gloomy details when required...

Panasonic has unveiled its 2019 lineup of OLED TV at the company's annual convention in Frankfurt.

The top-end GZ2000 will have a Professional Edition customised OLED panel, whereas the step-down GZ950, GZ1000 and GZ1500 won't.

Panasonic has launched its new GZ950, GZ1000 and GZ1500 4K OLED TVs at the company's annual European convention in Frankfurt, adding to the flagship GZ2000 OLED unveiled at CES 2019.

All four OLED models will come in 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes. Features include HCX Intelligent Processor, as well as support for HDR10, HLG, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG Photo formats.

We explain the differences between the GZ950, GZ1000, GZ1500 & GZ2000 in Panasonic's 2019 OLED TV lineup. Basically the GZ950, GZ1000 & GZ1500 are differentiated by stand design & speakers, while the flagship GZ2000 has a pro-customised OLED panel.

Από οτι φαίνεται στα άρθρα που παρέθεσε ο Hristoslav η Panasonic κατάφερε να αυξήσει την φωτεινότητα των OLED στα 1.500 nits και μάλιστα στην Panasonic GZW 2004 μπορεί να φτάσει και τα 1.950 nits όσο δηλαδή έχει η Samsung Q9FN που έχει peak brightness 2.000 nits.
