Got my M87 from Edgware Road for 1150 two days ago, would have posted a review earlier but have been too busy playing

This thing was replacing my 55kg CRT and this thing was like a feather in comparison. Dig that shiny finish

Channel 4 on Tiscali TV, SD is actually pretty good. The shop settings were obviously terrible, but after using some of the suggestions from the settings thread, things weren't looking that bad.

Next up was PC over VGA, I found I couldn't get 1080p until I enabled horizontal scanning, though 1:1 pixel mapping was present straight away and no tweaking was necessary. I was very pleasantly surprised that every resolution filled up the screen completely with no over or underscan. My brother has an XD1E and the resolutions are always too big or too small or off the screen or whatever. Only downside here is no widescreen resolution support except 1080p Picture in picture over VGA was also something I did not expect.

Here is a SD DVD upscaled to 1080i, looks very good considering screen size. I can confirm that JustScan is available over both the HDMI ports I used (1&2).

Here are a couple of PS3 games. The top one is Mainichi Isshou which runs in 1080p. The second is Motorstorm at 720p. The PS3 looks nothing short of stunning, far better image than the XD1E IMO.

Last up we have Ice Age 2 BR running on the PS3, looks absolutely jaw-dropping. Blows my old 1080i 32" out of the water, there's just no comparison.

I only hooked up cable on it so I didn't get the chance to try the in-built tuner (DTV) but from reading the manual the features seem very complete. The picture in picture works fantastically, though I would say the menu system as a whole is somewhat slower than what I'm used to. The in-built sound quality is perfectly acceptable also. The screen reflections are talked about a lot and I was honestly surprised when I saw them in the photos I took, since I didn't notice what-so-ever while actually viewing, and the TV is positioned right next to the window.

All-in-all this really is a stunning set, the features are just second-to-none and the HD picture quality is literally perfect. If you are on the fence about this set, get off and buy it
